In my 62 years, this is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to dine in. The food and service are outstanding! We were served so quickly I couldn't believe it. The dining areas are so well decorated and super clean. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner; he is one very blessed and gracious family man who is dedicated to, and passionate about, providing each and every one of his customers with the best dining experience possible. The only negative I can possibly think of is that there are so many great choices on the menu that it's hard to make a decision LOL. Whatever you do decide on, make sure you follow up with their own out of this world custard for a dessert that will have you wanting to lick the plate! I rarely give restaurant reviews because the reality of it is that they're all pretty much the same, give or take a little here and there, but El Nueva Vallarta is worthy of a raving review! If you love great Mexican food and cordial service, you'd be doing yourself great injustice by not...
Read moreFajitas Rancheras were very good. We loved how they were NOT greasy, it was more meat, chicken, chorizo, and shrimp than vegetables. Which was amazing because we have gone to other restaurants where the fajitas are greasy and it’s more vegetables than meat! The chorizo was really good, it seemed as if it was “homemade” because of the size and color. It was delicious!
Chile rellenos were really good. They are served a bit different. In Mexico they are stuffed with queso fresco or ground beef. Here at El Nuevo Vallarta, they are stuffed with Monterrey cheese or Mozzarella, and then they are topped with your choice of meat (ground beef or chicken). They were pretty good and the serving is so big, you can definitely share with your loved one!
Both meals were generously served and delicious.
I recommend you stop here y si eres mexicano y te gusta lo picoso, pide salsa habanera, está rica! Y te va a...
Read moreEl Nuevo is fairly decent with your typical Mexican food options, however the tamales are the biggest I've ever seen and pretty good. The Mexican restaurant called Lucha Libre that is literally next door to El Nuevo (they share a parking lot) and subsequently owned by the same person has a completely different menu. The street tacos are HUGE as far as street tacos go, have the most meat I've ever seen in a street taco, and are in my opinion the best in the city. I actually prefer Lucha Libre over El Nuevo. Lucha's hours differ and are shorter so I've been disappointed a few times when pulling into the parking lot getting ready to smash on some of those amazing street tacos. I would recommend doing a quick Google search to find out the hours before making the trip over there....
