Went for lunch and were the first customers of the day as this restaurant just opened and this was a soft opening. We were seated after a couple of minutes. Lightly staffed. This restaurant has been recently renovated but is lacking in wall coverings that are thematic. Another couple of minutes passed when we were asked if we wanted chips and salsa which were delivered soon after our positive response. The menu arrived soon after. The chips were warm and the salsa is very good. The menu has small writing under each of the food items explaining what ingredients are in that dish. We both ordered the fish taco plate. The server was not as attentive a he could have been throughout the meal. He was very nice though. The meal arrived warm. The fish taco had a freshly made corn tortilla, the battered fish was crispy (in chunks), light on cabbage, and the sauce was made with Mayo and ketchup .... which did not taste good. Too corn syrupy. The refried beans were average. The Spanish rice was cooked perfectly but was plain. The green sauce was also good on the side. The cost for the meal was within market range. We will go back after this restaurant opens formally and review again. The men's bathroom is not ADA compliant. Recently had dinner for a new specialty item, El Alambre, a chorizo, bacon, carne asada, grilled onions, bell peppers and melted cheese. The dish has a lot going on with several tastes going on which left my taste buds confused. The star is the chorizo which married well with the carne asada. The bacon flavor is lost in this dish. The melted cheese is also not complementing in this dish. While individual ingredients are cooked well, they just are not complementing each other in this dish for me.

If you’re searching for authentic Mexican cuisine that truly transports you to the heart of Mexico, look no further. This gem offers a dining experience that’s second to none. Every visit is a culinary journey, featuring dishes that highlight the rich, vibrant flavors of a region near Mexico City, complete with a mole sauce that will leave you speechless. The menu is packed with extraordinary options. From the creamy and indulgent Crema Pollo, to the perfectly cooked and seasoned Carne Asada, to the massive, flavor-packed burritos, every dish is an absolute masterpiece. The tortilla soup is comfort in a bowl, and no matter what you order, you can taste the love and tradition in every bite. The service is impeccable—friendly, attentive, and fast. The staff truly makes you feel at home, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere of this local treasure. As locals, we eat here all the time, and we’ve yet to find a single dish that’s less than astonishing. Whether you’re a fan of classic Mexican staples or you’re looking to try something new, this place delivers every time. Do yourself a favor and visit—you’ll be coming back again and again. 5 stars isn’t enough for a place like this!

Stopped at this place on the way back from Portland, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was I got the Tacos Dorados - which were three tacos with potato filling and a lot of toppings The presentation was interesting is that the tacos were presented face down with all the toppings on top of the 'bottom' of the tacos - rather than the traditional method of them being face up the filling being contained inside the shell. This basically made it so that the only way to eat this was with a knife and a fork - which I didn't really mind. As a whole, I thought the tacos were really good. There were an insane amount and great diversity of toppings, which made every bite feel fresh and unique. I especially liked the combination of the quesa fresca, avocados, and jalapenos. The taco shells were quite crispy as well, which gave a solid crunchy base to the overall thing The one thing I didn't like as much was the potato filling, however For the price, I would say its pretty good. The portion size is really large - I had to take the beans & rice back home. Overall, this is some pretty solid Mexican food in a low-key environment. 8.5/10

Toledo! Wow! I am an out of towner but I must tell you, you have an absolute GEM of a restaurant that could be ANYWHERE and is certainly least expected place is here in a small town. Diner food, boring, expected, maybe, but THIS!? I’ll be stopping every time I come through just for this, even if just for their amazing Margharitas!

What’s incredible is, I hadn’t even intended to stay, I was just going to pop in and grab some food to go but Angelina is an absolute star of a host and won me over. I am so glad I did!

While I talked with Angelina she told me about all the hard work they have been putting into the place, and maybe unrealized by her, the first thing she said they put work into was service and the menu. And it shows! The meal could have been completely unremarkable, and still the service I received could make the place shine in my memory. AND LO! The food was also incredible! Rarely do you get such a complex set of flavors across your palette. I had the Pollo Diabla platter and the sauce was superb!

If you’re not here when you go out for a dinner or a little tequila, and you live in Toledo, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life, this could very well be the best restaurant within 50 miles. I’d put money on it.

All you guys need is a little music, because everything else is...
