Las Delicias de Vargas — Restaurant in Toledo

Terrible! Don’t go to this restaurant!! Food was less than mediocre , I asked for a steak, chicken and shrimp piña in a pineapple shell… I got chopped up VERY thin flank steak, chopped up chicken pieces, and probably about five very small shrimp… the majority of the dish was grilled green peppers and onions. Also, it did not come in a pineapple shell as advertised on the menu. The rice was OK . Atmosphere was NOT enjoyable in that because they have a $5 margarita deal , there were patrons in the restaurant that were DRUNK DRUNK…the man was starting a fight with the waiter because he wanted a 10% discount if he paid in cash .. the drunk woman was loud and obnoxious! I think they should put a limit on their five dollar margaritas . Just don’t go...

I was looking to have a quick lunch and decided to give this place a try. Automatically, after sitting down, out came the Salsa & Chips, very tasty. I ordered 2-Tacos (@3.50 per), served up in great time, served with limes, and probably the best tacos I've had from a restaurant in quite some time. The service was good, but I don't think the server spoke English, and I don't speak Spanish so, finger pointing and yes-head nodding will get the communication process moving forward and done. If you like a really small venue with great food with latin music in the background, you should give it a shot. I'm looking forward to going back, and the next time, I'll stop in after work hours to enjoy a cerveza...

Restaurant was clean, there was a cook and a server working. Neither of them spoke any English so it was hard to get any answers to questions we had. We were the only 2 people in the Restaurant. We ordered the mixed fajitas, the steak seemed almost ground like a shaved beef, very fatty and the chicken was similar. No flavor besides skortched and very greasy. Both skillets were burnt. We ordered $45 of food and ate very little asking for no boxes. No one asked if the food was OK or checked on us at all. We had high hopes since multiple friends reccomended this restaurant to us.
