Had a nice quick little lunch with Macy this past Saturday at Stone Cut Bistro in Toledo, OhH. This my third time going. I'll be back for their trio hummus dish.

Tonight at Stone Bistro on Central Avenue, I enjoyed a beautiful evening with two dear friends, Marlana and Beverly. The atmosphere was warm, the conversation rich, and the food—simply exquisite. I savored grilled lamb chops with creamy Labneh mashed potatoes and a delightful jalapeño mint gastrique. Beverly chose the beef tenderloin kabob with fragrant rice and marinated grape tomatoes, while Marlana opted for the seared Brussels sprouts topped with Pecorino Romano and balsamic glaze, along with the house specialty, the Stone Bistro Fattoush—a crisp salad of Persian cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, and an amazing dressing, all nestled inside a warm pita. We began with a beet and feta dip paired with freshly baked bread—absolutely divine. From 5:30 until 8:00, time slipped away as laughter, stories, and soulful connection filled the air. Astrologically, the Moon was in Aquarius, the sign of friendship and genuine connection—perfect cosmic energy for an evening like this. On the eve of Halloween, the stars reminded us that true magic often lies in simple moments shared with those who lift your spirit. Stone Bistro is definitely a must-try—wonderful food, inviting ambiance, and the kind of night that nourishes both the heart and soul. 🌙✨ #stonecutbistro #hajjarbrothers

Here we go…but first I must confess something. I went to the plaza just off Central and Talmadge looking for another restaurant - but they were gone. In its place was this restaurant called Stone Cut Bistro. I had never heard of it (to be fair, they’ve only been open a little over a month). Recognizing that my hunger was growing, I decided to - at least - check out the menu. Ok - the menu is 1 page, but there was enough variety to entice me to stay. When I walked in, it was as my Hawaiian friends would say, “same but different.”That means that it is similar to something previously experienced, but something has changed. The structure and layout was much the same, with the bar in the same place, the dim lighting still there, and a warning to “watch your step” at the end of the bar area. However, that is where the similarities end. The vibe here is different - the predecessors were very formal, almost uncomfortably so. But under the guidance of the Hajjar Brothers, it feels more like friends and family. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was professional, efficient, and accommodating, but they were also welcoming, with smiles and offers of assistance throughout my visit. I arrived a bit after 5 PM, and it started to get busy around 6 PM on a Friday night. Drinks: It was a no-alcohol night since I was driving, so I won’t bore you with which pop I ordered. I will say, however, that there is a fully stocked bar and the other patrons seemed very happy with it. Now on to the food…I started with the Papas Bravas (spicy potatoes) and they did not disappoint. There was not much listed as far as the ingredients, but suffice to say, they were not overly spicy, just a hint of what I’m guessing to be a bit of chili oil (don’t hold me to that!). Delish!! The potatoes were crispy on the outside while light and fluffy on the inside. I could have made a meal of those alone, but knowing a review would ensue, I opted to order a variety of things. For the entrée, I ordered the Thai Chicken Kabobs. It came with a side of watercress salad and a very light, refreshing dressing. It also came with seasoned vinegar fries, but when asking about other options, they happily offered me an alternative. Deep, deep inside I was secretly looking for something that would bring up the words, “Hmmm, that’s interesting”. I honestly wasn’t sure how Lebanese brothers would do with making Thai food, but it was SO GOOD!! I’m sorry I ever doubted, and a special apology goes out to Nasri, who later told me this was his recipe! Score another point for Team Hajjar! Lastly, I ordered the Lemon cake for dessert. Note to self: next time I think about taking dessert home for later, don’t - for aesthetic reasons only. To have dessert in the restaurant, they make it so pretty! But the to-go box was a real disappointment. Yes, I completely understand why - it’s a tall dessert. I recommend having at least a bite of the pretty dessert at the restaurant! ;) Stats and Demographics: Address: 4332 W. Central Ave., Toledo 43615. Hours: Currently closed Sunday and Monday; open for dinner starting at 4 PM Tues - Saturday (see photo) Seating Capacity: I'm guessing it seats 50-60. If you’re interested in larger groups or parties, contact the manager to discuss. Tables seat 2 or 4. There is also seating at the bar. Atmosphere: Great for a Girl's Night or Date Night; mature clientele. Follow or reach out to them on Instagram @stone_cut_bistro.

Stone Cut Bistro delivers a flavorful journey straight to the vibrant streets of Beirut. From the moment you enter, you're welcomed with the rich aroma of grilled meats and warm spices, and more importantly, by a team of genuinely friendly, attentive waitresses who elevate the entire dining experience.

The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between modern bistro chic and rustic Lebanese charm. Soft lighting, stone walls, and Arabic-inspired design elements set the scene for what would become a memorable meal.

The menu is a tribute to traditional Beirut fare with a creative twist. The main dish, a sizzling mixed grill, featured jucy steak, tender lamb chops, with just the right amount of char. The garlic sauce? Heavenly.

What stood out just as much as the food was the service. The waitresses were not only knowledgeable about every dish, but they offered honest recommendations with a smile ,...
