A Gem right here in Point Place! Owners Rodger and Leslie definitely put a lot of work into turning this bar into a unique, cozy bar. Very welcoming and very diverse, which is awesome! They take pride in their bar and it certainly shows. People complain about them not having a kitchen for food, but you are allowed to bring in take out which is awesome and also gives you an opportunity to support other local businesses in Point Place. Tiny little place. I'm new to the area and barely know anyone, and as a female I was nervous going into a bar by myself in the first place. The customers and bartender treated me like absolute garbage... like I was a second class citizen just because I didn't know anyone there. Took forever to get a drink. I was told they have NO food, just chips or you have to order from a place down the road. I will never step foot in that place again. We came in town to spend some time to unwind at the lake. The Tale is 1 mile from our AirBNB and came recommended by our host. We came on a Monday and were greeted by the owner, Roger.
