I like to try new pizza places so we gave this one a try tonight. Sorry to say we will not return. The restaurant was nice inside. Cozy. Cool to see the oven. It was moderately busy, some open tables. It took 55 minutes to get our pizza! It took 45 minutes to get the cheesy "bread" which is just a cheese pizza without the sauce on the pie itself. Explains why "cheesy bread" on the menu is essentially the price OF a pizza. Most other places are less than $10 for similar. And it is usually pieces of garlic bread with cheese on top with a side of sauce. I didn't want a side of pizza with my pizza. The table next to us arrived at least 20 minutes after we did and got their cheesy bread 10 minutes before we did. Our table was closest to the waitstaff station so I easily saw all the staff. Nobody was slacking around so it seemed to me the kitchen was the culprit for the slow food. Our adult drinks were a tad slow but didn't bother me. Our waters were never refilled. Waitress was attentive at first but again, never refilled our waters and it took a while for her to ask how the food until we were nearly done. My wife's pizza, she says the chicken was unflavored. There didn't appear to be seasoning on it. My pizza, very floppy. One piece either had raw dough, size of a silver dollar, or it was a hole and cheese melted through. Couldn't tell. Both pizzas, though, the crust didn't seem to be fully cooked because the bread didn't cleanly separate. If that makes sense. Pulled it apart but kinda "stringy"/doughy almost. Tough to describe. Mine tasted fine, with that said. Just a lot of toppings for thin crust. Toppings should have been more on the outside and not centered to allow the crust to cook more evenly. Overall disappointed. Didn't expect to be there for almost 2 hours; should have been 1. Waitress was kind but didn't apologize for the slowness or issues with the pizza. I would have tipped nothing honestly (15% tip is for solid, expected service) but the issues were only like 10% her problem so it wouldn't have been fair to punish her for issues we had outside her control. I'd like to give this place another shot but when it turned into nearly 2 hours and $100, can't say I want to do that...
Read moreTonight was the first & last time we will give our money to this establishment. The reason? Customer service and secondly - the food was ok. We ordered the Margherita pizza, a Caesar salad and 10 count of wings with half flavored in Franks & the other half garlic Parmesan.
We were hungry so we ordered fast. Our food came out not too long after but this is where the disappointment begins. Our Margherita pizza lacked all flavor. It tasted like cheap can pizza sauce. I asked for dressing on the side for our salad - that on their menu shows $11, but the receipt price was $12- but even the little amount they gave us was barely enough. The franks wings were not spicy so good thing they donât have buffalo written on their menu. The âgarlic Parmesan wings were goodâ is what my daughter has to offer for the wings flavor.
When we were given our food, within 5 minutes, our server came back out to offer us to go boxes. We literally had food in our mouths as we answered we arenât ready just yet. Then she proceeded to go out and gather all the balls and bring them up as if the playground was closed. Mind you, it was more than an hour before closing time.
My advice is to work on your customer service. If you do not want to deal with a playground/children -cause thatâs what it seemed like-, I would not offer it. Taste your pizza sauce so it doesnât taste like canned sauce.
Lastly, It seems as though we were being rushed out of the restaurantâŚif the 20% gratuity wasnât already included, our server Jamie would have...
Read moreIf there was a no star Id start with that! Terrible experience here I will never go here again! Nor is it kid friendly at all, even being outside on the patio! First my eldest daughter was told she could not take her little sister to the restroom without an adult present, mind you my kids are respectful and mindful of others in the restaurant! Be professional and come speak with the parents not my kids directly who thought she was now in trouble for doing something wrong! We were served, then 3 minutes later with our mouths full of food we were asked if we were ready for boxes for leftovers which was super ridiculous and felt like we were being rushed not to mention itâs only 8:00pm an they close at 10pm! She then proceeded to ask if she could clean our tables off as if we were done which we were not clearly since we were still eating. She walked out into the playground and grabbed all the balls the kids were playing with to bring them back as if they were closing and again we felt like we were a nuisance and they forcing us to leave. To add 20% gratuity to our bill is understandable but after the level of professionalism and customer service we experienced I shouldnât have paid anything! Nevertheless I will make sure everyone I know in the Waller/Magnolia area will never spend a...
