Chuckburger — Restaurant in Topeka

Their fries are absolutely DELICIOUS, but the burgers are mediocre!!! Although it was fresh, the meat was so small & flattened that I tasted mostly bread and condiments! I assumed that's to prompt your next order to be a double flattened burger to equal an actual burger size! GIMMICK #1 (Tried twice on 2 different weeks to see if maybe it was just a bad day!) NOPE!

Sadly, the cost of a single burger combo ($10+) does NOT match what you actually get handed to you at the drive thru!!! I had ordered a double but when I drove all the way back to work, I realized they put only a single in my bag!!! (Pissed after all I just went through!)

Also, the prices on the outside board are NOT what you will be charged totally... That's their 3rd GIMMICK!!! You have to multiply it by 2 when your order includes fries & drink!!!

INSULTINGLY, the bag handed through the window looks like a little kiddy lunch sac that you prepare in the morning before sending them to catch the school bus!!!

WTW is this?!!!!!! (Was my thought when I saw it!!! I thought it was an order mix up at first!)

BOTH times, I noticed when paying with a debit card, the guy DISAPPEARS from the window and returns with JUST your card!!! So I had to ASKED for the receipt, which BTW, you HAVE to ask for because it is NOT given voluntarily!!! Which prompted another thought... (What was the disappearing trick all about??? To chant over my card & finances???) I REBUKE & RETURN whatever was said NOW!!! Instantly and Permanently!!! IJMN

To make matters WORSE, as if it could be... My fountain drink tasted like it had cooking oil splatters in it or they tried to stretch the syrup! But either way, consider selling cans or 16oz bottles rather than playing with folks appetites, their MONEY, and their lunch TIME!!! Neither of which you can restore, give back, and nor would you want to if asked!!! FACTS!!!

LASTLY, you can clearly see at the window that there are way TOO MANY PEOPLE in the kitchen and standing near the window, and NO ONE is wearing gloves or a masks... But ALL OF THEM were loudly TALKING to one another! Point is... No one wants to eat a side of anyone's airborne SPIT!!!

MY OPINION... There is just too much that needs to be resolved, discussed, revised, fixed, and considered at this establishment for me to return, not even for the fries!!!

The food here is affordable and so so delicious. I’m always recommending this place to people I come across. The burgers are done just right, with a crispy crust and seasoned perfectly reminds me of my favorite smash burger. What I come here for the most, the thing I’m truly addicted to is the Fried Mushrooms they are the most flavorful little pop-able gems. I can’t get enough!
