El Zorrito — Restaurant in Topeka

Yesterday, 2;15, 6/5/25, I had the best Mexican food I can remember in the past ten years. El Zorrito is exactly what I've been looking for. The flavors are perfect, the food was hot and quick. Nice and clean dining room with excellent music. Everything was just perfect. I love this place, they deliver the best of everything. The best people doing the best work with the best quality ingredients. Skip the over priced Amish food factories and have a really good meal at El Zorrito's Mexican Restaurant in Topeka.

This restaurant is closed to authentic Mexican food with mostly Hispanic employees. The Sunday I went in it was crowded and busy and a little chaotic with different waiters asking my group if they had ordered yet. They did have to ask us to move table for big group coming in, but that's not their fault. The carpet is VERY sticky. I had flats on and at one point it held my shoe down and my foot came out when I tried to walk. Ick. The decorations are cheap and gaudy. But the food is good. I prefer El Zorrito II in Shipshewana...

This is my all-time favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is great, the service is great and the people are very friendly. I have no complaints, I have tried several menu items and have never gotten a bad meal. My favorite is the chimi Acapulco, which is huge, and you receive an enormous amount of refried beans and rice and of course you have chips and salsa. If you leave here hungry it is your own fault.
