I ordered 40 croissants for a bridal shower I was hosting this past Saturday, August 4th. In order to give them enough notice I stopped in on July 24th to place my order and pay for it. The lady helping me asked when I was picking them up and I asked if it was okay to pick them up at 7. She said that was no problem. When I arrived Saturday morning at 7 am the lights were off, doors were locked, and there were no cars in the parking lot. At 7:25 they messaged me and said they were there now. I drove all the way back (from Auburn) to get them since I had already paid. When I arrived I expressed my frustration and the guy was extremely rude and told me they don't allow orders to be picked up at 7am. He said that the girl helping me originally was new and not aware of the 9am pickup policy (They should have called me in that week and a half time frame to tell me this, rather than waiting until the day I planned the pickup). He then proceeded to tell me that I should have waited "a little longer". He offered no apology and acted as if it was my fault. Also, when you say you open at 7 you should open at 7, not 7:30. This is NOT the way business...

Crisp, delicate, layered with intention. Each one a masterpiece that whispers of Parisian mornings and artistry in motion.
Now, a gentle word to the punctual: this is not Starbucks. Thereâs no drive-thru, no timers ticking behind a register. The owner is an artist; one who dances to his own rhythm, not the clockâs. Sometimes the doors open fashionably late, but when they do, oh, mon dieu; it's worth every minute.
If youâre chasing strict schedules, maybe keep driving. But if you believe, like I do, that good things are worth waiting for, then arrive with patience and an open heart. Show up 30 to 60 minutes after opening, and youâll likely be greeted by warm aromas and an even warmer smile. Because here, the pastries are always on time, even if the hours arenât. Please note: not a place for dining in. It's a perfect place for picking up. I get enough for the week since they are only open Friday - Sunday. Treat yourself. Youâll be smiling...

Came in to see if there were any available savory pastries, and wasn't expecting much since it was 30 minutes after opening and nothing was in the pastry case. The proprietor was warm and friendly though, and told me he'd just pulled the turkey & provolone croissants out of the oven. We had a good chat while he packaged up my croissants and ran my card. No complaints here on his food handling technique, a bit of a surprise for me that, considering that the shop looks like it's still in the process of getting set up. The biggest surprise of the visit was the croissants themselves. We're pretty those were the most perfectly laminated, lightest, flakiest croissants we have ever had (including the ones we had in France). The turkey was overshadowed by the wonderful provolone, but that's not a complaint at all because that was some quality melty cheese. We will definitely make a bee-line directly for Le Petition Bon Bon next time we come...
