So Good! Delighted to have stumbled upon this gem! We live an hour from the restaurant. We had to pick something up close by and of course hungry. We took a chance on Zach and Lou's BBQ. I am so glad we did. We always look at the reviews before we try something new. All glowing reviews. So of course we have to try it. They have a small dining area. I imagine on a busy night you might struggle to get a seat. You can always order it to-go. I had the pulled pork, burnt ends, collards, and potato salad. As a new resident of CT coming from the south I have been in search of the perfect collards. I found them here! They were perfectly seasoned and not a hint of bitterness. Perfect! The pulled pork and burnt ends were so good I didnt need to add sauce. I was a little hesitant about the potato salad. It comes as a cold side. It was actually really good. Tender chunks of potato. My husband had the brisket, ribs, mac n cheese, and coleslaw. I sneaked a few bites so I could tell you about it. The brisket was cut right when you order it. It hasn't been sitting drying out. This stuff was juicy and just the slightest bit of pepper on the outside. The ribs fell of the bone and were flavorful on their own. Mac n cheese was good. More of a dry recipe than an ooey gooey one. I like ooey gooey but still enjoyed my bite. I didnt try the coleslaw but my husband said it was the sweet kind and was very good. We like that kind. I would make the 1hr drive just to go eat here. It isnt fancy but some of the best places to eat are little hole in the wall joints. I have a bbq place not 5 min from my house and I would bypass it to drive here. No kidding! You need to give this place a try. Now I just need to find the perfect fried chicken joint.

We will be back! We like to take day trips to different BBQ places frequently in the CT and Ny area but found this place to be the best! It is a must try! It is in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip. My suggestion is go here then find something to do. They are near infinity theatre in Norfolk and Pleasant valley drive inn. It is AMAZING!! The brisket melts in your mouth. The pulled pork is the best we have EVER had. The mac n cheese and home made potatoe salad are awesome. Keep up the great work!! See you soon!! UPDATE: THIS BBQ IS NO JOKE!! Seriously it is still the best. We traveled almost an hour to try this place again to see if maybe we were delusional to its quality and we were not disappointed. It is a must stop and try. You will not regret it! My brisket was so tender and delicious those plastic forks cut right through it. Juicey and flavorful. The sides are also incredible. I had to get the wonderful potato salad but we tried different ones as well. The baked beans melted in your mouth. Sweet and tangy with 2 different kinds of beans and bacon. The mac and cheese was creamy and made with large shells to help hold the magic. I am not a tuna fan but they have a very good tuna pasta salad as well. It was so good I went back up to the counter and took home a 2 meat combo. Oh, I have to mention the cornbread. It was light and fluffy. Not greesy. Once again I will mention they are all about the quality NOT quantity so once they run out it's gone until the next day. We will be back soon as this place is definitely worth the drive! Great job BBQ masters!!!šŸ˜šŸ˜‹

Had a very nice bbq lunch with my cousin this month. We split a two meat combination of brisket and pulled pork. Sides were potato salad and mac and cheese. Their meat selection was limited late afternoon on a Saturday and they were out of a few options. We sat down by the window and dug in. The potato salad was delicious, highly recommend. Creamy, flavorful with a nice hint of herbs. The Mac and cheese was also very good and was homemade. The pulled pork was very tasty although not very smokey. It was very tender and was the winner of the meats. The brisket was also tender but lacked a ton of flavor and smoke. As I see brisket as a bbq spots crowned jewel and a measure of their craft, there’s room for improvement here. The atmosphere was fine. Some tables inside and out with limited flare but we sat comfortably. Our service was good and the staff was friendly. Almost forgot, The spicy bbq sauce was outstanding and worth trying. I’d return and would recommend swinging in. Hope these guys continue to operate and wish them well, Pauly
