Seen this place on Facebook from other people posting about it. Food looked good so I decided to try it myself since I enjoy breakfast food. Came on a Sunday mid morning before noon. Walked in and first thing I noticed was all the colored hair people and the man dressed as a woman waiting to be seated. Place was busy with a short 5 minute wait. Place looked clean and had nice decor to look at inside and played nice enjoyable music. Wait staff looked pleasant and friendly and attentive to their customers. I ordered the "meat sweats" dish with white toast and red potatoes and orange juice. Orange juice $3/glass came with a little slice of orange on the glass which I thought was neat and tasted like fresh squeezed orange juice. Then came the food. The cubed red potatoes were nicely seasoned with salt and tasted great! Then I moved onto the "meat sweats" dish which is scrambled eggs on bottom with cut up bacon, sausage, and ham with cheese. I took a few bites and it wasn't horrible but had a weird taste to it. So then I ate the ingredients separately to pin point the weird taste. The meat they use in the meat sweats is the main cause, whatever the sausage is seasoned with and the ham and bacon. All 3 had different flavors that im just not a fan of personally. Then to throw them all together in this dish... it just didn't work for me. Even the scrambled egg part tasted like boxed eggs instead of fresh. The white bread was buttered nicely and toasted fine but the crust was a bit chewy and rubbery. Food was OK, I just was NOT a fan of the flavors of the meats. I ate half my dish before I gave up paid and left. Did not take it to go because I surely did not want it later. Total came to a little over $20 Gave the waitress $30 and went on my way. Undecided if I'll try...
Read moreEdit: Thank you for the response management but we were seated at 10:02. (I messaged by sister right as we got there) and it you looked at the plates more closed youd notice that over 75% of our food was left all all but one plate (my husbands who has a breakfast sandwich) Your "red potatoes" were yukon gold and werent seasoned at all like you described when we had asked you. You also forgot to address the fact that all of our food was cold.....how long was food sitting there before you grabbed it? You clearly have no clue how to waitress as you never in those yes 2.5 hours (I messaged my sister at 12:27 when we left) came back to the table to check on us. Table behind us felt the same way as we discussed this with them too.
For breakfast to take 2.5 hours and come out ice cold not just cold but ICE cold and extremely bland. A waitress who never came back to see if we needed more coffee or ask how our food was. I had to go up twice to get our coffee pot refilled because she never came back and then when she did bring our food out she brought French fries out and thought those were American fries. Her exact words “what’s the difference”. Eggs ice cold. No flavor for anything. Brought it to their attention and got told it’s cuz they are busy which I understand but if that’s the case why is my food ice cold like it’s been sitting for 45 minutes. Waited 2 hours for our food to not even eat 1/4 of it. Not only were we upset but the 2 tables behind us didn’t eat their food either. Extremely sad as Alma’s was always amazing. We will for sure not be back. Pictures and reviews from previous reviews were...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of trying this new spot for breakfast, and I’m already counting down the days until I can go back. I ordered the veggie scrambler with a side of root veggie hash, gluten-free toast, and a blackberry mimosa and every bite was pure comfort and joy.
The veggie scrambler was packed with fresh, colorful ingredients. Perfectly cooked eggs topped with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. It tasted just as amazing as it looked.
The root veggie hash was next level! crispy and golden on the outside, soft inside, and full of earthy, roasted flavor with a mix of sweet potatoes, broccoli, and other roasted goodness. I also really appreciated that they offer gluten-free toast it made my breakfast feel complete without compromise.
And that blackberry mimosa? Beautiful, bubbly, and the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The whole meal was perfection from start to finish.
Warm service, cozy atmosphere, and seriously amazing food. This place is doing everything right. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a feel-good, flavorful breakfast with great options...
