haven't been here in years and was very excited to return. during my meal, the server reached into my plate and removed a lobster shell I was still getting meat off of. she also left behind three of her blonde hairs on the plate. the food was mostly good, just wish I got to eat all of it. noting that everyone who ordered a steak though complained it was very overcooked based on how they ordered it. a busser then came by immediately after setting my fork down for one moment and took everything off the table. we were still eating the sides. he took all of our plates and utensils. this is such bizarre and inappropriate behavior for such a nice place. I still cannot get over this woman reaching down into my food and taking things away and leaving pieces of herself behind. we are all so absolutely grossed out by this entire experience.
edit to add, there's absolutely nothing disabled friendly about this place and it almost seems to have gotten even worse over the years. the steep walkway and parking area are in disrepair. I have a walking disability and had an extremely difficult time getting to and from the restaurant. not to mention all the wonky, uneven steps up and down from room to room. I can't imagine this day in age not having an accessible...
Read moreThis was such a quaint restaurant! I called to ask if we needed reservations and they said they recommended them. We made reservations for a half hour later. It was very busy and it was a Sunday night! The service was outstanding! Our waiter was informative and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with homemade bread that was wonderful. Every entree comes with soup or a salad. I had the French Onion soup (still cannot believe it was included with my meal). The manicotti was good, as was my husband's pot pie. All meals come with family style side dishes. Today it was butternut squash, mashed potatoes, and beets. DELICIOUS!!! I ordered a piece of cappuccino kahlua cheesecake for dessert. The bill came and was only $47 plus tax. Our meals were so big that we have a meal for...
Read moreMy wife and I go here once a year. On Valentine's day. We started going here back when we were dating as a Valentine's day date night. We now have been together for 14 years and keep coming back here every year. We don't do it just to keep the tradition alive, but this place is very unique. The food is exquisite, the staff is fun and pleasant, and you need those eggplant buffalo wings in your life! Prime rib, filet, crab cakes, salmon, lobster tails, famous pot pie, I could go on. They have weddings here during the summer when the landscape is gorgeously done, yet you can sit at the bar in your jeans and t shirt. Directly on the snowmobile trail so you can show up in your snowsuit and grab a bite, while others are dressed up in khakis and dresses. Like I said, one of a kind unique that...
