In October of 2024 my wife and I were staying at Maxwelton and had hoped to have dinner at Gatsby’s Grille. To our dismay, it was an evening in which the restaurant was closed. When we expressed our disappointment that afternoon to Adam Slota, the owner and chef, he informed us he would open the kitchen and share a private meal with us, with the restaurant closed to the public. The dish of pasta he prepared that evening was one of the most memorable dinners I’ve had the pleasure to experience. During a recent stay at the lodge, we reminded Adam of that night, which he recalled down to the exact recipe, which at that time was not on the menu. Adam recreated that meal for us, and it was every bit as good as when we first experienced it nine months prior. If you are looking for delicious food at a fair price, served with a smile and friendly conversation, look no further than Gatsby’s Grille. Highly recommended.

Played 9 at the course and walked in for a drink after. The bartenders were so welcoming that we decided to come back for dinner. Table for 8 and everyone had something different and not one disappointed! Dining room and views of the golf course were amazing. Food was fabulous! Drinks at the bar and history of the resort told by owner Adam was so interesting. Top notch wait staff to boot! Give this place a try!

Amazing! Check this place out! We were the only people here for at least the first hour they were open for lunch on a Saturday and that is such a shame because food, service and atmosphere were all amazing! As a group, we had multiple appetizers, cocktails, and entrees from sandwiches to pasta and everyone loved their dish. I was all about the bruschetta and it didn't disappoint!

We were a group of 4 and we arrived earlier than our reservation so that we could enjoy cocktails before dinner. The Old Fashioneds were delicious. 2 of us had Perch, one had the blackened salmon and the 4th person had the Haddock Oscar. We all thought our choices were made very well, with lots of flavor. My husband was one of those who had the perch. You can order the small (4 fillets) or the large (6 fillets). He ordered the large and these fillets were bigger than he expected. Although he was able to eat them all, he said next time he will order the smaller portion. We all loved our entrees and will definitely dine here again. This restaurant is very clean and it is not noisy. The windows—-there are many and you have wonderful views. Inside and out, this place is very well kept. The ballroom is gorgeous! We all kept commenting the rest of the night how beautiful it was. If I had a son or daughter getting married, this definitely would be the...

So disappointing. Service was slow, which was explained by the one server taking care of the whole restaurant - everyone else was working a private party upstairs. My husband and I started with a glass of wine - my pinot noir was fine but his moscato clearly came from a bottle that had been open for a while and lost all the bubbles. Our salads came to our table and in less than 5 minutes our entrees were delivered. My shrimp scampi was fine but my husband’s short ribs were terrible. Cold and the potatoes were obviously not from scratch. For the price the entire experience was a disappointing. We...
