Southern Tier Provisions Inc — Restaurant in Town of Bath

We finally got to go into this store!! We have passed by, stopped by several times and it was closed. Saturday we finally got to go in. For those of you living upstate who are from Long Island /NYC you'll love that it is the closest you will get to a Deli ( up here) my Hubby and I are from L.I. and we Loved this place!! We got subs that were awesome!! Italian cookies .. yes the rainbow as well that had us nostalgic for the bakeries back home! They have authentic Italian ingredients for any dish you'd want to make, a small but stocked freezer section and of course a Deli counter with more cheeses and meats to choose from that I haven't had the pleasure of seeing and being confused by since Meat Farms ( If you are from.L.I you'll know what that is) It is a MUST if your looking for something you know you want but can't quite put your finger on, Im sure you'll find it here. Stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. Its really a local italian market, but with a sub/deli counter. It was so good. We felt like we found a little gem to stop for lunch. There's only seating outside with 3 small tables, and no public restrooms, however the staff lent us the key to the employee bathroom. We had the italian sub, chicken salad, turkey and ham sub and a taco salad, and then got a side of potato and macaroni salad. I have been a customer for years. I can honestly say that this place is a diamond in the rough. What a great selections of meats and cheeses as well as bulk food items from frozen to number ten can goods. For those folks in the restaurant biz they know what I am talking about. The fresh sandwiches (Subs) and the salads are a 6 out of 5 stars.
