Higher Grounds Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Town of Beaver Dam

I made a quick stop here, and I am grateful I did! When you walk in, there us a small area with locally made goods (jewelry, lotion, soaps, clothes). The aroma of delicious brewed coffee fills the air. Several feet ahead, the counter to order is on your left. They have several coffees already brewed along with a variety of flavored latte and chai options. They have soy and almond milk for their milk alternatives. The staff were warm and helpful. I got coffee and scones all of which were delicious. The spiced chai ranks in some of the top I have ever had! i asked for a redbull italian soda. the barista agreed to make it so we thought there was no issue. it wasn’t until we saw her making it that we realized it was essentially clear and anyone who drinks redbull knows it’s not clear. we asked “is that redbull italian soda?” barista replied YES but finally gave into telling us it wasn’t redbull once we started calling out the coloring. she said, “well we don’t actually have redbull… just club soda” highly disappointing that she tried lying to us ?? absolutely unacceptable in my opinion !!!! :) also my mom asked for lots of ice while i asked for light ice and we received the same amount. beyond...

This was my first time stopping into Higher Grounds - unfortunately it was for an iced latte to go - and I say “unfortunately” because this place was so cute inside I wish I could have stayed for a while! It’s spacious and cozy at the same time. They also sell various gift type items from local vendors. Magnets, jewelry, gift card holders, etc. so it’s not only a great place to grab coffee, but also to pick up a unique gift or something for yourself. Staff were friendly, the menu is extensive, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll be back in Beaver Dam for another baseball tournament later this summer and I’ll definitely be back to...
