Some of their specials are very tasty as are their desserts. I eat out somewhere almost every evening. I get to Sophia’s about 5 times per month. A few weeks ago they lost me as a customer. I ordered an expensive steak dinner. The menu described this as “grilled to perfection.” I ordered medium to well. What emerged from the kitchen was what appeared to be the sole of a work boot well worn. A starving hyena would have rejected this meal! I, being a starving working man, thought I’d at least try consuming. It was way over cooked, awful tasting, and so tough it could not be chewed! I pushed it away and described my dissatisfaction to the waitress. The server relayed the critique to the owner/manager. He did nothing. Everyone can have a bad day, this meal is not the reason for my boycott. When paying, I told the manager again about the bottom scale quality of the meal. He said they get a lot of complaints about their steaks and should take them off the menu. “We’re not a steakhouse after all.” He would not, however, take even a few dollars off the meal I didn’t eat! Full price for zero quality. He never even apologized! I added $3 to tip the waitress and discovered later he added $4. It was the attitude at the till, not the awful meal that makes me say,...
Read moreI went here on February 26th,2021 about 4:15pm and ordered a 8oz. Top Sirloin Steam meal which included choice of potatoes and Apple Sauce so got Hash Browns told the waitress Carol to drown them in cheese no matter how much it cost and also got a Chocolate Shake and it came with Chocolate Ice Cream for Desert all for with a 20% tip about 26 bucks the cook or own need to learn to cook the steak was small and tough and very distasteful and had to cut off a bit of fat too and the Hash Browns weren't drowned in cheese like I requested and the place doesn't social distance at all 30 people there not including staff members and they were busy but still the waitress was a tad rude but maybe that was cause she was overwhelmed by customers ?? Overall not bad but not a 4 star restaurant in my eyes ! By the way internet reception sucks here and getting into the parking lot off of 51 is crazy so be careful ! The views aren't too bad though !
I included pictures of menu and of my meal so everyone can judge or use them to...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I've never had a bad visit at Sophia's before, until last night. The waitress that took care of us had her face mask 😷 completely down around her chin. I ordered the fried fish which came with baked potato, corn, and cole slaw. The cole slaw was really runny and not very appetizing, the corn was also a no because I wasn't expecting it, wouldn't have wanted it and it actually looked over buttered and like it was starting to discolor...I had one piece of fish and took the rest home. She was also having some difficulty remembering who ordered what, and brought us our soup and cole slaw before our drinks...I kind of figured maybe she's new at waitressing...she was very polite, but she needed to adjust her 😷 Nobody else in the restaurant that was working was having that same problem. Other than that and a few quirks, everything...
