This place is amazing. Even the drive to get there is gorgeous. Food is spectacular, the people are super friendly and lovely to chat with, they are very helpful with suggestions and special-made options to suit your specific needs, and they even tell you where some great shopping is in the area around their restaurant!
Everything is homemade. The meatballs are gigantic and delicious. The place itself is super welcoming and cozy.
I loved everything about Denny's, but I have to admit, being a bread fan, their bread is the best thing I had out of the whole thing. I got a couple of heroes (lunch and dinner) because it had been my first time there and I wanted to give it a nice shot, especially since the folks were so great. The sandwiches were fabulous, but OMG THAT BREAD!
They make it fresh every day, and even though I also bake my own bread every week, their loaves had me dreaming of them for days.
I will definitely go back many times. Next time I go will be to try their pizza. If it's anything like their heroes, I might have finally found my go-to pizza joint. No distance is too great for good pizza, but being a Queens girl, even I won't drive 500 miles to NYC to get my fix, lol. I'm super spoiled about good pizza places. Denny's will satisfy that need!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything is on point - food, portions, prices, location, people. You will not be...
Read moreI consider myself a sub and hoagie con isuer. I heard that Denny's sub shop in big flats was a good place to get a quality sub. Well, I tried it out a few months ago and was very disappointed. I ordered a full Italian sub and a regular sub. The regular has ham and salami on it and the Italian only has salami. They charge extra for tomatoes and banana peppers . The Italian sub had three slices of salami at most and two slices of provolone cheese. Tons of lettuce and chopped onions. I added banana peppers and tomatoes. They use roma tomatoes. The tomatoes were sliced too thick. I also wanted oil and vinegar . It tasted like a cheap Italian dressing from a grocery store. Next ,the regular sub had 2 slices of ham and three slices of salami on it . All sliced very thin. This one also had a lot of lettuce, chopped onions and I added tomatoes and banana peppers with the oil and vinegar ,again it tasted like cheap Italian dressing from a grocery store. both of these subs were a let down. I will continue my search for a truly great sub or hoagie in the...
Read moreWe had a bad experience 6 months ago with the cleanliness of the place and spoke with the manager who sent us free breakfasts but it was so bad my husband and I had a very difficult time deciding to go back. So we did today and well the exact same thing happened. We were seated at a table that our arms stuck to and there was crumbs on it from the last customers. So we moved ourselves and told the waitress who by the way was very sweet. And took our order then brought another set of customers and sat them at the dirty table! Yes without cleaning it. The food well let's just say it's Denny's. But I was so disappointed because once could have been a fluck but twice umm how often...
