My first experience with a personal dog trainer if pertinent.

I have a 6 month old male Doberman that I’ve been training the basics. I used videos I found on YouTube and bought a book specific on Dobermans. The scheduling was seamless and the preparation provided was great. I found Helen to be very personable and engaging. She asked the right questions and I feel she provided great tools to help me accomplish my goal. A well behaved large powerful dog. She was always on point. She likes her ‘job’ you can tell. Ranger liked her. He responded well to her. I learned a lot in the 60 minutes. Had great follow up and supportive training resources like videos and pdfs to read. Ian is great in the videos and I like his enthusiasm towards the inner workings of a dog’s behaviors. I learned much that I can apply to my training of Ranger. This is for their online training course only. I first found Ian through reddit recommendation of his YouTube channel. I loved all his videos and his training philosophy, so when we brought home our 🐶, I decided to go ahead and purchase his basic training course. Let me tell you, that was the best money I’ve spent for my puppy girl and myself. I watched each session multiple times to the point I memorized them and it made a huge difference in our trainings. Things like “prey drive” and how to capitalize on that really kind had a lightbulb-moment effect for me. We’re still training and there’s a lot to learn, but I love Ian’s classes and highly recommend them to everyone. Words really can't explain how effective Ian's training really is. His YouTube videos originally saved us from all the crazy German shepherd puppy biting. His other YT videos helped us get started with some basic training. Eventually we purchased his Dog Training Essentials course on IOA which has been super helpful. We've also done a Zoom consultation with Ian. Any corrective action he had us take was IMMEDIATELY effective in engaging our dog and channeling her energy into productive learning/training. This man is a genius and the structure of all the information he presents is so helpful for my wife and me. We're going to keep moving through this course and reach out to Ian when we hit walls.
