Eduardo's — Restaurant in Town of Blooming Grove

This restaurant truly surprised me—in the best way. I initially hesitated to dine here due to the extensive menu, but changed my mind after our friends visited the night before and couldn’t stop raving about the ossobuco. So, my wife, two friends, and I decided to give it a try for dinner. I ordered the shrimp Fra Diavolo pasta, while the others shared a pizza. The pasta exceeded my expectations. The marinara sauce had a smooth, fresh tomato flavor without any acidity or hint of canned taste. The shrimp were perfectly cooked—tender, not rubbery. Very disappointed with their catering. Ordered over a $100 dollars of food. Pasta, eggplant parmesan trays, etc. When I picked up the order, I asked if I could have bread. They spoke to the owner and replied, "yes, but there's a charge." The catering had already been paid for with credit card so I had to go back out to the car to get 2 dollars for 2 pieces of bread. I'm sorry. I just found it a little ridiculous. Spending over $100 and being asked to pay for 2 pieces of bread with my order was really disappointing. I've ordered a lot from them for sheer location convenience, not quality, but, after this kind of stupid little incident, I won't be again. It was just kind of lame on the owner's part. Really good pizza for this area. Slices aren't too thin and there's a generous amount of cheese/sauce. The salad I ordered once was standard but nothing special. The reason this place gets a low rating is their outrageous pricing. I ordered 2 cheese slices one visit, and with a bottle of soda my total was close to $9. That's absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, that particular visit I was served slices that had clearly been out for several hours (if not all day). The cashier was preoccupied in conversation, which isn't the end of the world. But if you're going to charge 3x the amount I pay in NYC (for far better pizza, mind you), maybe consider improving the customer...
