This Ice Cream Shop has the most incredible ice cream that I have ever tasted in my entire life and let me tell you, I've eaten a ton of ice cream in my days. They actually make their own ice cream from scratch and it's the most creamy, richest, and down right perfect ice cream that I personally feel anyone could ever make. The authenticity of the ice cream itself is most certainly there.
Upon arrival to the ice cream shop, there are benches that actually look like the back of an old car and yes, there are plenty of seats for everyone to sit down as well as outdoor seating. However the parking lot, although it's there, is not big at all. Sometimes parking can definitely be a problem on a very hot summer day. But, there are spots available on the side of the road for parking, although risky and I wouldn't really recommend it, and is there just in case the parking lot is full.
Once you're inside, then it comes down to ordering your ice cream. When you look up onto the menu, you will soon realize that there seems to be at least 50 different things you can oder not including the flavors in that 50. Now mind you, each order is costomized to your preferences. Sizes, cone choices,, waffle bowls, sprinkles, dips, toppings, 3 different custards (I believe the special one is salted Carmel or cashew) are custards, hard ice cream scoops, there are ice cream sundaes, ice cream floats, milkshakes amongst a ton of other things.
However, when it comes down to the ice cream itself, it comes in about 15 or 20 different flavors to choose from, sometimes even more. Now that being said, each and every single one of their hard and soft ice creams they have to offer are made from scratch in-house. They actually are a Dairy not just an ice cream shop. In order to start from scratch, they own Dairy cows on the premises. They milk the cows using the milk they collected, process and pasteurize the milk. Once finished, they then use the end product, in this case the milk, to make the absolutely incredible, ever so creamy, irresistible ice cream that we know is guaranteed to be served to us every time we visit. They also offer the option to take home a pint or a quart of your favorite ice cream that they offer.
Overall, no description on here can not explain accurately just how incredible Charlap's ice cream is. Not only are the sweet treats that they have undeniably out of this world, but, the people are as wonderful well. The atmosphere reminds you of an old 50's, retro and authentic ice cream parlor. For me, when an authentic twist is thrown into the mix of an already great experience, it's a perfect touch that really just completes it and turns that already great experience, into one that is just unbeatable! Plus, not to mention, the overall experience as a whole, I feel is one everybody should have a chance to be a part of. So, if you're in the area and that sweet tooth pops up screaming to be soothed, look no farther! Go soothe that bad boy and stop on in and indulge on a sweet treat yourself! I personally can promise you that you will...

As a local of Buffalo, NY, and an enthusiast of all things delightful, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nick Charlap's Ice Cream with my family, following a fun-filled day of skiing. The experience was nothing short of magical, perfectly capping off our adventurous day.
From the moment we stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere of Nick Charlap's was a stark contrast to the chilly outdoors. The vibrant decor and the sweet aroma of freshly made ice cream immediately lifted our spirits. The staff greeted us with welcoming smiles, making us feel right at home.
The true highlight, however, was the ice cream. Each flavor we tried was a testament to the craftsmanship and quality Nick Charlap's is renowned for. The ice cream was creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. Whether it was the classic vanilla or the more adventurous flavors, each scoop was a delight.
What made this visit truly special was sharing it with my family. Seeing the joy on the faces of my three boys, August, Enzo, and Roman, as they savored their ice cream, was priceless. It was one of those simple, yet profound moments that remind you of the beauty of family.
In conclusion, Nick Charlap's Ice Cream is not just about the ice cream; it's about the experience. It's a place where families can come together, share laughs, and create memories. For anyone in or around Buffalo, or those just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Nick Charlap's. It's a treat for the taste buds...
Read moreDrive, ride, run, walk quickly .... Crawl? But however you have to get here if you're in the area, do so! Their ice cream is just wonderful! My mother, my daughter and I stopped here last night for ice cream for supper (a rare treat) and I'm really glad that I hadn't eaten anything! I got the peach sundae. The period at the end of that sentence should be many exclamation points! I'm drooling just thinking about it. A banana boat with three massive scoops of peach ice cream, a peach sauce on top of that, vanilla wafer crumbles, crushed pecans and then mounds and mounds of fresh whipped cream. To Die For .... Happily! My daughter, ever the boring one when it comes to food, had a triple scoop cone of cookies and cream, which she really loved. My mom, who's a little more daring, got a double scoop of raspberry ripple and bourbon pecan. She's been going here for years and still loves it! If you're even remotely close to the area, make the trip out, wait patiently (or impatiently, but be nice!) in line for some of the best ice cream you'll ever be...
