Yes, the wings are free on your Birthday(exact day) BUT... here is the kicker. Make sure you call ahead. Make sure at least 85% of your party is there or they will make you wait longer. At least that is what we were told last night. We had a 3 year old with us who was getting anxious and we had 6 out of 10 ppl there waiting. We all got there around 7:50 for a 8 reservation. The free wings are available from 11am until 9:30pm Mon through Fri. Sunday until 8pm. You can't take any home unless you pay for them. $10 for a dozen. Make sure you have enough ppl to share the wings. 2 sauces come with then there is a $1 charge each for any others. $1 charge for each dipping sauce( 1oz). No celery on the side. So when they say free wings that's what it is. They don't have enough wait staff because it seems as if they are tired and have a attitude after a while. The manager sucks, for a ppl business, no human services skills. The hostess had a smug attitude also,I guess that rubbed off from her boss. The seating is so called based off how many in your party. Even though there are open tables. Remember you MUST spend $20 and there is a 20% gratuity fee placed on the check because you are getting "birthday wings" No matter the amount be it 2 or more or not. That's the charge. It's a really almost like dungeon like place. When you enter a food business ppl should have a good attitude about whomever their customers might be. I'm actually tired of going there. I never went for myself always for other family members. The only reason it gets 3 stars is that the wings are really good. They are done perfectly and so this credit goes to the chief. Go for the wings but don't expect good service from other staff. They need to take classes. I have read these other reviews and they are not bias. Be honest. I have been going for a few years and every time we go there are more rules to this free wings thing. Honestly, just go to another restaurant. Everyone...
ย ย ย Read moreThe hubby and I went there based on the reviews for the fish fry. We got the boneless wings to start, buffalo medium with ranch, and they were gross. They had absolutely no flavor, were just frozen junk cheap crap you get at like Applebee's and were hard as a rock. I could barely stab them with a fork and could knock them in the plate without them breaking apart. Not.to mention the ranch dressing was watered down. Next, I got the beer battered fish fry and it was overcooked and was just ok, very oily still. The hubby had the chicken french. The plates they use are awful for a meal like chicken french and the waitress spilled almost all of the sauce just walking to the table. The two pieces of chicken were as small as my first and one was inedible as it was hard, He said it tasted like frozen chicken. The breading wouldn't stick to the chicken and was very hard to eat. The sauce tasted ok he said. The waitress we had seemed to do more than the rest of the wait staff as she was running around taking phone orders and doing other things and a few other people were just wandering around doing a whole lot of nothing (one girl had to have help changing a light bulb ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ). For the $70+ we spent it was definitely just frozen, cheap, junk food masquerading as real food and we will not be going back. Very disappointing. I'd also like to mention that two of the TV's in the room we were in were this awful hue of purple and was hard to watch...
ย ย ย Read moreHorrible. The family & I took my mother there for her 63rd birthday yesterday. They advertised FREE wings, yet told us we have to PAY for them to be free....the waitress ID'd my mother & gave her the ID back... NEVER saying happy birthday or offering her name (we just know she has a bull ring in her nose). We got our dry & overcooked 1st batch of chicken... one wing had so many feathers still stuck to it, we thought it was alive when it went in the fryer. The waitress took said wing, threw it away, & offered no words concerning it UNTIL she was asked by us (her explanation was "it happens"). After a "short" while had pasted, the waitress came to our table with the check, gathered our empty plates, & said her fair wellsโฆ.when asked if we had all 63 wings, we were told "yes" & she gave us the check. When disputed by another family member, she then changed her answer & said we have another 13 wings coming out (again she had the check in hand)
The injury to this insult we had as a waitress, is that her "gratuity" was added into the price of our food, FORCING us to tip someone who was even worthy of such and/or even skilled to have such a position. We will NEVER return again.
If you want excellent service, actual FREE wings, and great customer service...go to Captain Jack's...
