I went to chilies with a group of 5 of my closest friends. I was excited for our first night out in quite some time due to the Covid 19 pandemic. We had all turned 21 during the course of NY elongated quarantine, margaritas were certainly on the nights agenda. As a person who has worked in the hospitality/restaurant business in the past I can understand a weaker pour here and there. The drinks we received were not an accidental weak pour, after 26 margaritas between the 5 of us in just over and hour and a half we realized non of us were the even the slightest bit buzzed. When the bill came and there was close to $150 in alcohol on it we were flabbergasted. We came to the consensus that we would have to speak to the manager to resolve the conundrum we had found our selves in. After voicing our issues to the manager we were met with a cold and condescending response. According to the management all the drinks were made together by the recipe. Now to preface this, I would like to say that we have the utmost respect for chilies as a brand and even for this location, but the answers we received from management on this given night were unacceptable. If I have ordered 26 burgers and none of them came out as they were expected I would (as I believe most would do the same) not accept the bill. After a few minutes of back in forth (where I got the manager to admit that non of us appeared to have drank at all) we were refused any concession. We eventually payed the bill and left. I would like to note that the wait staff treated us with respect and dignity and this should not reflect negatively on them. This was unacceptable and we will not...
Read moreWaitress: What would you like to eat. Us: We would like to bacon burgers with no bungs and Broccoli instead of fried. OK. We end up with two burgers with NO bacon and one with pickles and one with fries, not Broccoli. We tell the waitress who informed us "we ran out they forgot to tell me". OK that would have been nice to know before but we will eat our burger. On the way out we spoke with the female manager on 11-20-21 at about 9pm. We told her, after we paid, what happened and that patrons should be informed beforehand if there is no bacon. She said WE HAVE BACON, I love bacon so now I am a bit angry I paid for something I didn't get and that it is also A BACON BURGER! We were not looking for anything special, maybe something more than "I am sorry" would have been nice. We got more upset after we left and called her to explain WE WERE REALLY NOT HAPPY. Again, I am sorry I hope this doesn't hurt your feeling with Chili's. Of course it does. The service business requires you to serve customers, especially in these times. I would have said to come back anytime and I will you an envelope. It could have contained a free beverage, chips and salsa, $5 off or any small token that they really are sorry. Nada. I have liked Chili's over the years. I understand that the crazy times are stressful for everyone. Area Management, you might want to retrain your staff, it starts with you. Too bad I will likely not return, I...
Read moreI normally am very happy with Chili's, however. At my most recent visit, we felt very rushed. As we were ordering everything, our drinks came out, and I am all for efficiency, but within 2 minutes of placing our order for everything, the appetizers came out. Again, I was very impressed with how quickly the food came out, but less than a minute after the appetizer, we got the main food, so we wound up with everything on the table at once. After we got our food, the waitress did not make another appearance at our table until about 10 mins later, when we were still eating, and asked us if we wanted dessert. We also did not get asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, so we wound up thirsty at the end. Also, we were expecting the free chips deal that we used to get with the chili's rewards, and we didn't get the free chips. We also love the fried pickles and just found out that they were taken off the menu. However, the waitress told us that it had been since last March that they weren't on the menu, even though I remember being there less than 2 weeks ago and fried pickles were on the menu. And to top it all off, my party and I got stomachaches...
