It's a humorous name for a pizzeria however I believe the owner is taking that title too seriously based on the way he spoke to us yesterday. Last night we put in a family sized order over the phone. Upon arriving the young man at the counter was about to ring us up and we noticed items missing from the box. When questioned about the missing items the young man ringing us up apologized and offered to correct the problem as quick as possible. Perfect, no problem...no problem yet. When the young man apologized to us, the owner, whose back was towards us, said in clear earshot "what are you apologizing for?". Let me be clear it was said in a rhetorical manner and not literal. He might as well have said "so what, let them wait you don't need to apologize". With that we expressed our dissatisfaction right back to the owner and stated it'll be the last time we're coming back, and we've ordered here just about every weekend. To make matters worse the owner then approaches us at the counter and with a sharp attitude says "I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to him". No kidding genius but the subject of the matter was about us, the customers, the ones you no longer have anymore. 5 stars goes to the young man who rang us up, he did all and said all the right things, I hope he ends up being the new owner when the current one loses his business. Plenty of other pizzerias to pick from, I...
Read moreI used to go here every other weekend but yesterday was my last day.
While picking up my order in person, with my brother, the order was missing two meals (which was on their order ticket too.) but was caught before leaving. No big deal. It happens. The worker kindly apologizes and everyone was fine and civil. That could have been it and all was fine in Selden. Except for the owner, who made it clear to the worker not to have apologized to the customer as he said it loud and proud. "Why are you apologizing??" Not in the form of a question at all. It was in the form of rhetoric, with a statement behind it, and annoyance. When I explained what happened. The owner, clearly with a Napoleon complex and possibly drunk with his bloodshot watery eyes, decided to approach the register and irately tell me "I was talking to my employee...Not you.". The owner should be thankful the rest of us are civil.
I've seen him blow up at his employees before with no shame but this time he crossed the line over to the customer. He needs to try to keep it together. Do whatever you need to clean yourself up and continue serving the good food the restaurant has. When you screw up, apologies are welcome and go a long way. Ironically, you should learn from...
Read moreThey robbed us!! Literally, they took our card over the phone and told us one price. Then I checked my card because the receipt seemed wrong. I called Visa and they verified the exact amount they charged and low and behold it was a $6.00 difference. We called them immediately and just figured it was some kind of mistake. The person on the phone said that his credit card machine was right and the amount on the receipt they gave us was the proper amount charged. I took a print out of my statement from online and brought it down to show them. When I explained who I was and why I was there they completely ignored me. I showed them all the evidence and they completely tried to blow me off. The guy behind the counter got red as an apple and was shaking and couldn't even look me in the eye. He proceeded to show me a receipt that was manually entered with the lower amount. They said the owner would call me and settle it (yeah right) The bottom line is the people there are skimming unsuspecting customers and hoping they wont realize what is going on. So please be aware before you give these scam artists your credit card...
