Jim's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Definitely better than the competing deli next door (which I refuse to go to for various reason). The food is always good and quick service. Happy they have açaí bowls, they aren't the best I've had but still good. But... there are a couple of downsides in my opinion. The macaroni and potato salads and coleslaw have a LOT of vinegar in them. It's overpowering. Makes my mouth pucker up and not in a good way. And the prices on some of the items, specifically breakfast items, are a lot more expensive than other great delis I've eaten at. $6.99 for a typical bacon, egg and cheese on a roll. I've seen the same sandwich for $3.99-$4.99 at good delis. Hungry man is like $9.99! Crazy. $6.99 at most other places and quality is the same. However, I can count on Jim's for a relatively inexpensive chopped salad with up to 8 included toppings! They don't skimp on the salads or toppings and they are legit. I ordered a dozen sandwiches from here to take to the beach with my family and placed my order online and picked up the next day. The sandwiches were so perfectly wrapped and then also wrapped in plastic so transporting to the beach was so easy. Every sandwich was plentiful, dressed properly, had everything they were supposed to have. There was not one error or issue, and the quality was superb. This is my first time ordering from here, and I will not order from anywhere else going forward. It was a great experience, very pleased. I’m also very picky and have high standards. I manage food service so I tend to expect a lot and was not disappointed at all. Thank you to the staff for making our beach trip...

After following Jim’s deli on Instagram I finally went today to check it out.I phoned in my order and went over to pick it up. Upon entering I can see it’s very clean and staff is behind plexiglass, and everyone had on a mask including customers. My order was ready when I arrived as promised. After getting home we opened up our sandwiches (wrapped in board head packaging)we were blown away, it looked so good!! It had tons of delicious bacon, perfectly cooked not gummy like some places. This deli is right in my neighborhood I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to go there, but I grabbed a menu on the way out and I’ll be sure to be visiting much more frequently....
