The Pines Liquor Shop — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

If you haven't been you are missing out. This shop is more a gallery than a store. The wines are hand selected by Steve and Chris with a focus on smaller producers that are often natural, organic and biodynamic. Of course you can find your heavy hitters like Cakebread and Dom but have a chat with Steve or Chris and you'll be walking out the door with exceptional grower's champagne and century's old-vine spanish tempranillo for a tenth the price. For all it takes to get the wine across the bay to Fire Island they'll deliver it to your house for free with a smile. Even if you're just coming to the beach for the day it is worth a stop on your journey. The rosé is always chilled...

Steve and Chris have excellent taste. I’m talking really, really great bottles. They’ve been providing a widely varied selection that runs the spectrum of price points. These brothers and theirs boys are knowledgeable, friendly and have been at it for over three decades. With all it takes to get product shipped to an island, everything is super reasonably priced. They’re looking out for the environment and following NYC protocol with the plastic bag ban but they always have boxes at the ready. Sometimes you’re lucky enough to have a sip of something fabulous. There’s a reason everyone on the island is representing with the Pines Liquor Boy shirts...this shop...

I love the Pines Liquor boys! Steve and Chris provide an outstanding experience and great selection at every price point. I love to get a few great bottles on every trip and they never disappoint - fantastic selection of standard and unusual producers (Burgs especially). And great prices, especially for the good stuff. One of the highlights of every FIP trip is visiting the shop to chat and pick a great bottle. Save a few bottles of Petterino Gattinara...
