TJ's Hero Shop — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Sandwich was tasty but lacking on substance, server made rude and disrespectful comment about me using there Staffs only bathroom as the one All Gender bathroom was occupied... Here's a "Tip" try a Men's Room and Woman's Bathroom like everyone else so there is no waiting , Customer Service 101 ⚠️UPDATE ⚠️12/12/23 as we can see Mgts hyper focus on bathroom rather than their food lacking substance and rude employee comments to a paying customer. Rather explain their decision to meet the bare minimum requirements of one bathroom for customers. Unfortunately we can see they use the same motto on their food and customer Service, The people in our community deserve the ultimate in quality ,quantity and substance NOT bare minimum , especially in these difficult times, My Tip to the owners is Customer Service is the key, There is too much competition in the area not to focus...

While the staff at TJs is great the food has taken a huge fall off. Was told by others that the hero’s are not the same and today I found out myself. We ordered a 4’ chicken cutlet hero with mozzarella on a garlic hero. They said no problem, I paid in full told the gentleman that I would be there at 12 and they said perfect. When I arrived the hero was ready to go and I was happy cause I was running behind. When I got to the car my husband said the trays felt cold and we then realized that the entire hero that was supposed to be hot felt like it just came out the refrigerator. Now I have cold garlic bread that’s already toasted with extremely dry chicken and cold melted mozzarella. When I went in to ask they said that’s how they usually do it??? Like I said, the staff and then gentleman that helped us were great and very friendly, but the food...

Best hero joint on the island!!! (That is, unless you eat at the TJ's in Patchogue...) .... I absolutely love this place. It is the first place I stop to eat when I hit the island to visit family. Been getting food at both their Mastic Beach and Patchogue locations since I first moved down to island in 2008 and it is still my all time favorite hero joint in NY State, hands down, no joke. Even living in Albany and having enjoyed DiBella's, I still crave TJ's. The Big Steer or Louisiana Lightning are two of their signature heros, and my all time favorites. Pretty much anything with their Stealth Sauce... totally awesome! I wish they would open up a joint...
