Weir's Corner Deli — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Pit stop. That should be all but we bought a few things. We came here because it was the closest random retail store around toward our destination before all you see are trees and road.

It's a Grocery store selling household products, packaged foods/coffee/chips and miscellaneous items mixed in with food vending: Spanish down home cooking that wasn't that great but the driver of our car stopped here so I had no choice. It was morning and they serve your egg, salty meat and home fries combo and in the morning around 9am bins of Spanish food. Yellow/Saffron or White rice (not good) choice of plantains (no taste) and choice of meat items like ribs, pork and chicken, some in a sauce (no flavor). I get a little bit of this and that including sausage which taste like those in the 99cent fridge section, which I never had before but assume that's where they got it. I eat like half my platter and cannot eat any more. I wouldn't say it's sickening but bland. I know my good down home Spanish...Dominican food in Grocery stores in the hood and this isn't that great.

There is pizza in back but I figure, nah.

There's crappy seating and a crappy restroom but it's a hole in the wall grocery store. I just thought I'd put it on the map for people passing by.

After eating here for over 15 years and being a loyal customer, yesterday 9/29/21 was my last day eating there. I am 8.5 months pregnant and I ordered my usual breakfast sandwich. After 3 bites I felt something hard and pulled this out of my mouth. It's the metal twist that keeps bread fresh. This was in my sandwich. Metal. Which ingested could have seriously caused me and my unborn child severe harm. I called and spoke with the lady who was extremely apologetic but also said that the workers simply do not care. I was shocked to hear her make this admission to a customer but at the end of the day I'm glad she solidified what I was already thinking. This was careless. Sorry weirs hasn't been the same since Jose left. I won't be a customer...

This deli is a decent spanish deli. The hot food is actually excellent. And their heros are very good. There are two to three different main Spanish women who work here. And they all work here on a daily basis. My only problem is that when I order hot food and heros the price is different everytime depending on which lady is working. And I got the same meal and the same size as the Spanish guy ahead of me on line and they charged me $2 more than they charged him. I'm not jumping to any conclusions I'm just telling you guys what I noticed...
