Yummy Kitchen (Coram) — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Unfortunately we will no longer order from here. The food was not ready at the specified time and we were left to wait an additional 20 + minutes. This would not have been a big deal had the food been prepared as ordered. The lowmein was dry and flavorless, the Beef and Broccoli sauce was thick and gummy, the Beef with Orange sauce was SUPER HOT, and last but not least the fried dumplings were very oily. I called to voice my concerns and the response I received was bring it back and they would remake it. Needless to say that was not an option for me on New Years day at 6pm. We have been ordering from Yummy Kitchen regularly for more than 3 years, and never had a problem. Tonight was different. We requested one of our dishes to be extra spicy. The kitchen erroneously made all of our dishes extra spicy to the point that we could not eat them. When we called to discuss it and asked they replace the food they refused, saying that since we tasted it they wouldn't exchange it. How else would we know it wasn't what we asked for unless we tried it?!? There are many other restaurants to choose from, in the future that's exactly what we'll do. Odered 1/2 fried chicken with pork fried rice combo and BBQ spare ribs with pork fried rice combo. Chicken was average but the drumstick was the tiniest I ever saw. The ribs were very light on the meat and a couple of the bones were as large as a bat. Lastly the rice was devoid of any pork and had a unusual taste.
