Zara Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I live in Selden for over 20 years and almost behind your backyard. but I’ve never been there . My taste buds were asking for home made pasta with meat sauce. I couldn’t find a home made past close enough which is disappointing. So I randomly and without knowing even your location decided to give you a shot. I was first impressed with how fast it arrived. Now knowing where you are it’s a given but still points in for that because it could have taken a long time. And most importantly it was delicious. Although the pasta was not homemade you can tell the sauce was. So points on that. The pasta was also not overcooked! Points and points for that. Al dente is the right way! Even though it cooked a little more on its way, it had to have been cooked al dente to arrive not overly cooked ! I took 1 star off because I missed the Parmesan cheese. Tonight I ordered penne ala vodka w chicken,chix ceaser wrap,and a veal Parm hero..21$ for the penne and 4$ for the chicken is a little high .. but if it's good it's worth it..the presentation was lacking and seeing the cubed chicken spread out thru the dish was actually a turn off as it looks like left over chicken..might I suggest thin slices fanned out on top of the dish? The sauce and garlic knots had no flavor at all..however the portion size was more than enough for 2/3 people..also I tasted hot sauce in the dish..the hero was yesterdays bread and the veal was dry..plus again no flavor to the sauce..I work in the food world and this is the 2nd review I ever left because the food was so terrible..I have eaten there many times without any issues but the sauce makes the dish and if that is bad so...

The advertisement put out says "buy ANY XL pizza for $9.90" and then it says "choice of toppings" and goes on to list toppings. They charged me about $14.00 and said that topping are not included. If they're not included then why would it say "buy ANY XL pizza" instead of just "XL pizza". I've noticed that the only time this deal is messed up is when this foreign guy with an accent is working (Mondays and maybe other days). If he is working and answers the phone, do yourself a favor and hang up and go somewhere else! Think about it, if $14.00 really was the correct price, then with a reasonable tip it ends up being $17.00! There's no way that's the correct price and have you ever heard "the customer is always right"? They don't feel that way; they'll argue! I'm angry....
