I've never experienced similar things in any other Chinese restaurant like Bo Loon City! The Beef Lo Mein we ordered had barely any beef inside it. There were only a few super-thin small sliced beef that you can barely see and taste. The woman who was on the phone asked for my phone number when I placed the order. The only reason I can think of is that we were not live locally. I can't see the business can survive if they treat the local customers like this. Other dishes were even worse. The Wor Shu Duck was only a few slices on the very top and tasted so strange. From the almost black color and the taste, you can never guess they were duck meat. They filled the box with broccoli in heavy dark brown sauce under the duck to make it look full. The Double Cooked Pork was with the same dark brown sauce and tasted so salty! For General Tso's Chicken, they put thick flour around the tiny pieces of chicken. So all you can taste were flour, not the chicken! Felt so bad for the owner...
Read moreI was born and raised in Northern NJ and grew up on Chinese food from around there and NYC. Since moving up here, I have been deeply disappointed with all of the other Chinese food places around upstate. I recently found Bo Loon City and everything about the place is great! It is extremely clean, run by a nice and friendly family, the food is amazing, everything is fresh and of great quality, orders are done within 10-15 minutes and they charge very fair prices. It is also the first place that I've been to in upstate NY who gives you plentiful sized servings of everything in their dishes, especially whatever type of meat or meats that may be in it. If you're from the city like me and want a taste of home or are even from the area, I highly recommend only going here and giving them a try. It was also very nice and refreshing to go to a restaurant and to be treated and talked to kindly, as people should be...
Read moreIt was alright, tonight me and my family decided to try else where so we picked here tonight. Cheese wonton tasted great but they were smaller than what I was used to, they were also a dollar a pop. The shrimp and garlic sauce was very concentrated which I was picking up on the soy sauce in the sauce and was pretty salty for my taste but the shrimp and the broccoli was cooked well just the sauce killed it for me. The boneless spared ribs was on point and so was the dimsum. I wouldn't get the eggrolls again. The eggrolls stuffing was over cooked, very oily and the outside was cooked to long. The dumplings...
