Frencheez, one of the newest local restaurants in Rouses Point, truly deserves the 5-stars. We like to support local and the owners are just that! The food is delicious, the portions are spectacular, their hospitality is 2nd to none, and the atmosphere is just amazing. I’ve dined and ordered from Frencheez twice in the past week and let me tell you why this place deserves the 5-stars it’s receiving.

Let’s start with the food; I had dinner with my father who recently told me about Frencheez. Pictured below, we ordered Happy Hour (ends at 6PM, not sure when it starts) Poutine, as an appetizer. That was honestly spot-on poutine when compared to French-Canadians in MTL. It was robust and rich in flavor. Next up I ordered the Totally Taco Bowl and my father had the Pulled Pork Nachos. Awesome presentation on both. And just look at those portions man…if you leave here hungry it’s your own fault. Nonetheless, we both finished our meals, barely, leaving full and happy. Their logo is a fries mascot, and I’ll be frank, the fries are banging! Also pictured, Philly ‘Dilla for lunch the next day, fire.

Secondly, service we had Shannon serve us, she’s a local and was attentive and catered to our needs (which wasn’t much we hope). She was friendly and had a radiantly positive energy. In addition, the food and bevs came out relatively quickly.

Lastly, the atmosphere is 70’s style and when you walk in, I can imagine it’ll remind you of those times. There are plenty of 4-chair tables and booths to dine at or even post up at the bar & high-top seating on the other side, with select drinks, spirits and TV’s.

Other things: Located on Lake Street right-hand side if you’re coming from VT/CAN or left-hand side coming from NY/Stewart’s (next to Ray’s Appliances). Their bathroom is clean and the light to it is on the. They have select domestic & other beers, mixed drinks/cocktails, or even hard spirits if that’s your game. You can smell what they’re cooking in the kitchen.

In my opinion, this has got to be the best restaurant in town. Getting the most bang for your buck, great service, and everyone is extremely friendly. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I spoke with the owner, Brandie, when I was picking up my lunch, and it’s great to hear her story; locals opening up a restaurant locally. #EatLocal #SupportLocal

My partner and I order delivery from Frencheez at least once every 2-3 weeks. I typically get the cowboy burger (occasionally the Greek burger) and my partner always gets the nacho burger. Sometimes we’ll splurge on poutine, nacho fries, or Greek fries... And the food gets better every time! Delivery is quick and the drivers are always friendly and sociable. Veggies are always fresh and crisp, burgers are well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the fries are addictive. Every weekend I check their Facebook page for their unique, delicious weekend specials. As for customer service… they once had phone issues that sent me straight to voicemail with no option to leave a message, but within five minutes an employee called me back, apologized for the technical issues, and took our order right away. If you’re looking for a great meal and personable service, Frencheez is the...

I had expected that Frencheez would be a fun retro dinning experience and while the décor has some nice features (old albums and concert cards), the menu doesn't really match the atmosphere. We started with the fried cauliflower which was good but the entries were horrible. Neither of us finished our meals. The stir-fry which, should have been a slam dunk, lacked flavor and the fried chicken TV dinner was worse. The fried chicken was over cooked. It was deep fried to the point of being almost burnt and lacked flavor. There was some sort of sauce or cheese in the middle that I never did figure out. The sides were better. The corn was roasted, the strawberry cake moist, and the mac & cheese was tasty although the pasta wasn't cooked enough. We heard others around us commenting on how good the quesadillas were so, we may give Frencheez...

I really enjoyed lunch at Frencheez. I got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and my boyfriend got 2 Michigan and fries. We actually came for brunch but we’re interested in lunch and luckily they had a decent amount of lunch items. The French fries were amazing, they were so good. The burger was delicious. I liked the Michigan hot dogs as well. We got some chicken noodle soup broth for my son and it was so good, I’ve never had chicken noodle soup with so much flavor. The kids area was so cute, my son had a blast playing there. They had cartoons on an old looking tv with a flat screen in it. It was really cool. I enjoyed the decor it definitely has a 70’s theme. Our waitress was in 70’s clothes it was very cool. If we ever happen to be in the area again we will definitely be back.
