We had an amazing lunch here. We visited the Natural Stone Bridges and Caves in the morning and were looking for a place to eat. This was the closest thing that popped up in our search that was open and kid friendly. And we had a hungry 4.5 year old. This is a super cute place. It’s decorated with fun retro signage and pictures inside. We were greeted immediately and told it would be a few minutes but we didn’t wait too long to get a table, maybe 5 mins. Our server was very nice and the food was amazing and it came out pretty quick. I forgot to take pictures! But the portions were good and the food was delicious. We later learned that Miss Helena (the owner I think) was birthday twins with our daughter and she was so sweet and kind to us and she paid attention which was so awesome. Sometimes people write little kids off or don’t really listen to what they say. My daughter got a ring at the Caves and Bridges place and she was excited and chattering away and Miss Helena listened to her and engaged in conversation and that made our visit that much more special. For us and our daughter. After eating a super delicious lunch we then got ice cream for dessert. So good!!! Highly recommend if you are in the area. There was a really nice gift shop on the second floor too. We will definitely come back next time we...

The first time I stepped foot in this restaurant was in 2016. It was a memorable trip for me. We stayed in Chestertown because we hard a lot about the cabins there and we wanted to tried it out. I fell in love with the area and the people. It was difficult for us to find places to eat because there is not much around. Until we found the ice cream parlor. It was magestic. From the food they server, the decor, the service, the entire place is just like a vacation. The owner is an amazingly kind lady. I met her for the first time 2 weeks ago. Lovely lady. It’s a family business and it shows. I live in NYC but anytime I am in the area I stop by to eat whatever they are cooking that day. When COVID hit I was actually worried about their business. I just want to thank you all for being such wonderful people and you guys left such an impression that I drive 50 miles out of my way just to stop by and eat. God Bless you all! The food is always amazing and top notch. There is a lot of young people working there as well and they are raised so well. Very polite females and the cooks are also nice guys. I...

Best burger (Bacon Ranch Burger is what I ordered) I had in my life....what most surprisingly is my wife ordered the Bruschetta Burger....

We usually get a quick small bite out of each of our food, I didn't...and I was done with my food, (the plate was clean).

My wife obviously didn't want to finish the last quarter of it because she wants to save room for Ice Cream well, after all it is an Ice Cream Parlor. I took a bite of her left over quarter of Bruschetta, (mind you I don't like sourdough, tomato or cheese but I'm ok with mozzarella) and put it back down on her plate...and mind you I already finish my burger and everything on the plate...

I went back grab her entire burger and start eating, and i have to force to stop what is like 2 small bite left because I want to save room for ice cream too...but oh man, that burger was delicious too, and I was already full from my burger.

So circle back to my first entry, "best burger I...

Just out of curiosity I had to go read why some people gave this place fewer than 4 stars. Get a grip, folks. Great sandwiches. Shakes to die for. Fantastic nostalgic decor. Way cute place with a hard working staff who, ok, get stretched a little thin when the place is busy. Is there some kind of rush when you're in the mountains!? The food doesn't look like it was "plated" by a food net chef - it's simply appetizing, tastes great, and pleasantly served. The nostalgic decor - old soda fountain/diner is very fun. There's an enormous gift/clothing/jewelry shop upstairs. The side yard has Adirondack chairs and picnic tables for sitting around with an ice cream cone. The building itself, on national historic register, is worth checking out. Well done, folks!

Stopped by here for lunch on our way back to NY. It's a nice place with vintage feel. The place was busy but the staff are friendly. We got a few sandwiches and a soup. The sandwiches come with a small side, we chose golden beet salad, it was delicious! We had turkey sandwich with cranberry aioli, roast beef sandwich, beef barley soup and smoked salmon sandwich. All of them were really fresh and delicious! We also got a coffee flavored ice cream with Heath candies and coffee shake. It was a good dessert after a delicious lunch. I'd stop by again if I am ever in the area.

It's a nice little spot that has decor and items from varying decades. We got there at 3:45 and they were getting ready to close the kitchen down for 4:00, but they were willing to accommodate us which was cool. I started with a Nantucket chowder, which was really good. For the main I got a Main Street Melt. I was pretty surprised by how big the sandwich was. Plus it came with a side of macaroni, watermelon (so good!), and a pickle. FYI, they don't have a fryer so they don't serve things like fries or chicken fingers. They weren't missed though.
