Hilltop Deli & Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

I have been going to this deli for the past 30 years and it was always a great local deli with fresh food and products. Recently, new owners have taken over and it is a total disappointment. They have a taken a neighborhood deli and turned it into a no frills convenience store with a horrible looking steam table with dry food and poor quality food. I gave them a chance numerous times, getting breakfast and lunch. I wouldn't mind the higher prices they have now, but the quality has gone down so much that now it's just a ripoff. I have noticed that they stopped using quality products and ingredients, but I still used them since they are local and I guess i was used to going there. Today they lost me as a customer for good. I went in to get a sandwich for lunch and observed staff pull out a dry roll that almost crumbled in his hand when he cut it and opened a container and took out precut meat for my sandwich. PRECUT, is this a Subway franchise? My lunch was a total disaster. Like I said earlier, the owners have made it into a convenience store and don't care about customers coming back. This...

Now named Danny's Deli, this place is pretty good! They have excellent food and the service is fantastic. I went there for take out on 10/26/21. My son loves their Margarita Eggplant Pizza. Though he wasn't very happy that pizza sold out earlier, he did enjoy a slice of the Cheese pizza and said it was "AMAZING"! I ordered a sandwich. It was not made the way I asked, but with a toaster oven home I was able to crisp up the hero roll and it was also very good! Give them a chance. They bought the Hilltop and are trying to keep up with the same menu offered by Hilltop. The place is clean and we'll kept. Hopefully this place will become a fav, as much as we all liked the former. Slow expensive and less than mediocre food. I decided to try hilltop for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. I came in ordered a sausage egg and cheese , and watched the guy write a down. I got my coffee pretty quickly, paid for my meal and was waiting for the sandwich. After waiting for about 10 minutes I inquired when the sandwich would be ready. I was told shortly after waiting another 10 minutes, I was already late for work and ready to run out with nothing. At that point a guy came out with a bacon egg and cheese And when I said I ordered a sausage and egg and I was told "ahh so".
