We spent the night wondering what time we could see our son at the meps station to see him off ...as he enlisted in the US Army. We found out we could be with him a few hours before his flight out to training at the Albany international Airport. Meps gave all the newly enlisted recruits vouchers and told them the vouchers could be used at any food place at the airport. We had never eaten at a chick fil . We decided to try it. We got to the register and told the cashier the intent to use the voucher and we would pay any remainder in cash. We were informed by the cashier and subsequently the manager that they don't know anything about the vouchers and would not accept them. I explained that my son was leaving for training in the military and asked for their consideration....but it was refused. I have heard and seen the commercials that portrays the company in a positive light.....but, I can tell you honestly....its unfortunately false. On one of the proudest and scariest days on my life as a Father and likewise for my son ,it would have been great to have had support and a positive experience before he left..... and we did at the restaurant not far from chick fil a. Not only did they take his voucher they gave him a steak on the house. Chick fil a failed and forever lost me and my family as a customer. I was hurt for him.....he was so proud of his decision.... and the message from chick fil a was.... we don't care. Sad that they portray an image they...
Read moreHave been waiting over 8hrs for a flight that is delayed, only to receive a $10 meal voucher to use at the airport. Since I'm really hungry, I go wait in line for about 30 minutes at this Chick-fil-a and order something just under $10. Attempt to pay with the voucher and I am told that they can't accept that because the manager isn't there and wouldn't be back until tomorrow. I asked if there was an alternative or if they could do anything and one of the employees said "Nope. Sorry." and said that I needed to pay so as to not hold up the line. So I paid and then left. Found out, they messed up my order and gave me the wrong sandwich altogether. Now I am back at my gate and my flight is finally going to take off soon, so I don't have time to go back and fix it. So the voucher is useless because there needs to be a manager to approve it (that is ridiculous, given the number of vouchers that are likely given out to compensate for airline issues) and the customer service was terrible/non-existant really. This is the First negative experience I've had at Any Chick-fil-a and it is disappointing, to...
Read moreProbably the worst Chick-fil-A in the country and that's really disappointing because it's the only one I can go to. I fly through this airport almost weekly and it's always the same. The staff is rude. The wait is ridiculous. One time the guy handing out the food had to ask for a sandwich and the girl in the back kept yelling "no, I ain't making it right now", while she was laughing and carrying on with the staff in the back. Another time an employee was walking around in front and in back with a sandwich in her hand eating it with crumbs thrown all over the floor. Also, there is always a group of people not working and just hanging out in the back while there are literally always 10 or more customers waiting for their orders, visibly not happy. The lemonade is never made and the food sucks. We were all excited for this Chick-fil-A to open and it has been nothing but a let down.
