This place has really gone down hill since my childhood and I was hoping to pass future memories onto my children but sadly this will be the last time we will frequent this establishment.
They haven’t replaced any of the rental equipment from what appears and feels like the 1950s. Blisters are guaranteed after wearing those over worn skates.
They have overbearing rules that totally sucked the fun and joy from the experience. When my son took a very hard fall and injured himself. I was reprimanded by one of the staff for comforting and offering him a hug. He has a disability and often needs more assistance. When I tried to explain this to this the staff member I was told I would be asked to leave if it happened again.
What kind of emotionally detached people do you have running this place?!
For the amount of money- $75 for a family of three I definitely expect a BETTER EXPERIENCE.
It’s a shame they have tarnished found memories of my childhood. I will be taking my business...
Read moreService was prompt, ice cream quality was off the charts, prices were very fair, and atmosphere was very fun! So many choices that it was overwhelming at first.
I visited with my family of four adults and two children, and everyone was completely satisfied..
Personally I ordered a large chocolate sprinkled waffle cone with banana hard ice cream with chocolate sprinkles on top.. I was blown away at the size, it was literally like 16" tall!! The server offered a dish to go along with it, which was brilliant.. good call! Five stars all the way!
We visited the roller skating rink to use the restrooms afterwards, and that was amazing by itself. It was literally like going back in time. Definitely a "must-return-to" trip in the future!!
Kudos to the owners and staff. I saw the article on CBS Sunday Morning Show a short while back, and was very excited for your family and heritage.
Guptill's is the real deal, and is definitely worth the trip from wherever...
Read moreWatered down, over-priced ice-cream. Force customers to use ATM with high fees, will not take debit cards. The location and seating are awesome and I love coming to the car shows in the spacious parking lot. I don't know what is with the ice-cream but it tastes like they watered it down and re-froze it and sold it. I've been here many times over the years, with my friends and family and the experience has been the same.
LePaige's allows debit card transactions, other small-time gas stations allow debit cards, not this guy though. Very convenient to force customers to use their ATM to get cash, and pay the ATM fees on top. Any business that wants to take money at the counter needs to take into account the customer's needs. That's how business works.
Also, make some big, clear menus, the random pieces of paper plastered all over the windows...
