Jumbo's No. 1 — Restaurant in Town of Conklin

1st time here under this name. We arrived and sat at bar a few minutes before greeted by bartender. The bar was busy and there was a party of 6 on the side patio. We ordered drinks and bartender delivered us menus. The beer selection was okay for this type of establishment in bottle. It was nice to see some choices of craft beers like Beer Tree on draft.

We ordered mozzarella sticks, garlic parm wings and a cheese pizza. She told us the apps will be put shortly - appetizers took over 30mins and came out same time as pizza.

The mozzarella sticks were luke warm, the wings has fresh parm cheese, and pizza was hot. We enjoyed the pizza as it was a thinner crust and tasty blend of cheese. The wings were crispy as we ordered, but parm cheese was shredded larger than expected. Wings were served with blue cheese, celery and carrots (which is an upcharge!)

I used the men's room during my visit. I bumped elbows with a gentlemen washing his hands as I was using the urinal. Bathroom is to close for comfort.

Overall experience was okay for a blue collar bar. Might be back, but place...

I’m going to start with that I’m not mad at all but this was a bad experience. I have never ate here before and neither had my boyfriend, got food over the phone and the girl was rude over the phone to my boyfriend. We got two dozen wings and he went and picked up the food and got home he didn’t think nothing of the price until he came home and there was one dozen and wrong sauce. And we looked at receipt and it was a different name. We were not mad at this because I work in the service industry and mistakes are easy to make but it was how the same girl spoke to me after I called about it being wrong. Basically told me it was busy and she didn’t have time to do this and if I wanted it then to come get it. I told her I wasn’t mad so idk what the problem was. I live 35 mins away so I wasn’t gonna go get it and I was not mad and I’m not now but this girl has to know that even when they are busy that it’s not ok to act how she was and speak to...

I WAS WAITING 4 A RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER IN REGARDS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT HIS ESTABLISHMENT BUT I GOT NO RESPONSE. HOW MANY BLACKS HAVE ACTUALLY VISIT JUMBOS, I HAVE NO CLUE BUT THE ENERGY FROM THE BARMAIDS & CUSTOMER SERVICE I WAS VERY UNSATISFIED WITH. I BEEN LIVING IN THE BROOM COUNTY AREA FOR 14YRS & TO SEE THE BARMAID TREAT ME DIFFERENT THEN THEIR OTHER CUSTOMERS MAKES ME MAD. I WONT BE SPENDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY THEIR ANYMORE & IM THINKING ABOUT FILING A COMPLAINT. DISCRIMINATION WILL NOT...
