The server cautioned me when I initially ordered a hamburger, saying the hamburgers are not very good. I asked if the chicken sandwich was better and she said it was. I ordered the chicken sandwich and waited. And waited. And waited. I believe she is the only server and the place was busy. When the food eventually came, the fries looked good but were cold as if they had been waiting somewhere away from any source of heat for a good while. Like cold to the touch and unpleasant to eat. I used the catchup to mask it and choke a few down. The sandwich came on a very thick bun. The texture was less than palatable so I put it to the side after the first bite, opting to eat the meat with my fork. I think it was chicken but couldn’t tell based off of how it looked. It made me think of prefab, pressed out shapes with some sort of tasteless breading. I will say that nothing was greasy (the only positive I could find). Now as a sit waiting for my flight, I am hungry and feel like may have eaten a rock at the same time. Most unpleasant meal with unfortunate lingering effect...

The ONLY reason this place got two stars is because the hostess/waitress was trying her best and was super kind AND the prices are pretty ok for an airport restaurant. Bartender - when you have 4 people total at your bar who are good and your SINGLE WAITRESS is in deep (a line at the hostess station asking for their checks, food, and to-go boxes because their plan is boarding), go help! Run checks, check on food, ask the waitstaff how you can support them. Yes I AM judging you for not helping and reliever her stress and ours. If it’s a management rule not to (some places have a rule about leaving the bar), that rule needs to change ASAP. Step up. The food is good enough too. Last polite suggestion to the host: if you know it’s taking 45 minutes from seating someone for them to get their food, just tell them. Apologize but be honest so the can make an informed decision about whether or not to order, sit down, etc. Most people ‘get it’ in this economy (one...

Great ambiance and easy location in the airport! That's about all you can count on.

Service was terrible. Both bartenders were detached and could not be bothered. By the time I had run through their IPA beers to find nothing was available, I asked for a can. When time to order food, cheeseburgers were not available after looking over the menu for a few minutes. The grilled chicken wrap I eventually ordered was good. Then.... I had to be sure to ask to check out since I must have looked content just sitting there holding my credit card with the receipt up in the air (LOL). The manager (in a white shirt) was busy on his cell phone and not engaged at all.

You are better off at this point to find somewhere else to eat at the airport. I might try them again, perhaps a bad day...

At tiny Syracuse Int'l Airport, our sit-down restaurant options were either Johnny Rockets (should've gone there) or Middle Ages (we chose poorly). For an appetizer, the Pretzels with Ale Cheese ($10.99) was way over-cooked, burnt & inedible. Mercifully, our server took it off the bill. My French Dip (roast beef w/side of au jus dipping sauce; $15) was good, but the under-cooked French fries were disappointing. My other five traveling companions did not enjoy their meals. But, hey, it's airport food - where else you gonna eat? :-p // P.S. Our overworked server was wonderful & did her best in this small, crowded restaurant.

Prepacked salad & bottle of water was almost $20. Requested an itemized receipt at time of purchase from the grab&go, and received a piece of paper that shows total with no items purchased. Went back 10 minutes later and asked for an itemized receipt, Lorna Jean refused to help. "You have to ask for a receipt." I did ask for one. "You have a receipt." It's not itemized. Zero customer service. It's illegal in NYC for businesses not to provide consumers with receipts if you ask for it. I dont know the laws in NYS, but seems bizarre that I cant get an itemized receipt.

Picked up my home buyers that are relocating to CNY from Syracuse Airport. Thwir flight was delayed so I enjoyed some breakfast at middle ages while I returned some emails. The food was great especially since it's in an airport I was surprised. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had. If your traveling in and out of Syracuse, procopio real estate highly reccomends middle ages at Hancock Airport
