Waterfront Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Delavan

I don't usually waste my time with reviews but felt the need this time. We were here last Sunday afternoon with friends that invited us after really enjoying this place the first time they were here. The first table we chose was dirty so we moved to another. It took almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us or even tried to take our order. It took another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks. We had to go up to the bar to ask for our drinks as they just sat there. Bartender could have easily just brought them out to us because we were 5 feet from the bar but apparently she was too busy chatting with her boyfriend who happened to be there. She spent more time chatting with the boyfriend and his friend to even acknowledge the table next to us who also had to get up and go to the bar to ask for someone to take their order. Ridiculous. The waitress was friendly but not very attentive, never asked if we wanted another drink or anything. Food was decent, cheese curds were good and the burgers we all had were good. Fries, not so much. They need to change their grease out of deep fryer every once in awhile. My boyfriend asked the waitress for steak sauce and she stated they didn't have any which we new could not be true considering they serve steaks. Ha. So he asked the hostess as she walked by and she stated "Yes, we do" and went over to get it right away. Why does the hostess know they have it but the actual waitress does not? The hostess was also the one who got us our bill, boxes for food and processed the payment for us because we were sick of waiting. I can understand if it was busy in there but when we came in it was not busy at all. Word of advice, work on your customer service skills. We...

I just can't do it no more with this place I have tried. I do not live in town I've been coming here for a long time and I'm from out of town and every time I try and give this place an inch every time I try and give it another try I am just sadly disappointed and can no longer cover or do it anymore. And this is before any Corona virus... Oh and FYI none of the workers wear a mask. Very disappointing and very contagious... Many possible things are wrong with this place, at 1 time it was a great place to come but that was a very long time ago. The food just isn't up to par they were missing things on my plate they were missing things on our friend's plate then we were told they ran out of things after we put our order in. The food wasn't in good grouping meaning one person had more than the other and it was practically the same plate. Again a combination of things and of course let's not forget the elephant in the Room the flies and the bugs, if this place can't simply get a blue ray bug zapper and turn it on at night time when they close when they opened the next day there would be no flies but this place is loaded with flies. But the flies are all over and the next thing you know it You have more unwanted friends at the table then when you 1st walked in the door with, simple Layman's terms too many Bugs /flies... I Simply can't do it anymore I've tried and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt have come back many many times and I just can't come back any more... I usually come alone or with one or To others so this is not a great feat to get the order right and to be prepared correctly....

YOU LOST OUR BUSINESS FOR LIFE. Drove 45 minutes to get there, Walked in at 7:40 on a Sunday (Google says you close at 9:00 BTW) stood at the host stand for at least 5 minutes as they were getting a table ready for a big party. No biggie, but as my girls thumbing through the menu, I'm already looking for another place to go because I have a feeling we're going to be here a while. Busy and appears way under staffed. I ask my girl, "Do you see anything you like?" She says yes... I'm thinking okay, we'll wait it out here and see. Waitress walks by us twice, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. Host comes back to seat the big party, still no greet, and we're clearly visible... but at least we're next. Host finally returns after yet another few minutes, walks up to us at 7:48, 72 minutes before close according to Google, and proceeds to inform us that are not taking anymore tables and they clise at 8:00. Im like, ok, well, it's 7:48??? All we get is a sorry we can't seat you. Needless to say, we will never return. That is completely unacceptable for any establishment. It would have been one thing if they would have said hey we're a little backed up it could be about an hour before you see food do you want to wait? I would have said thanks, but no thanks, and found something else. But to get shunned? GOODBYE! So we went through Bigfoot on the way home and stopped at Bigfoot Inn.
