Really nice park to see the sunset, sit, walk or relax. I usually come here on off hrs, because it can get pretty crowded with families as they do provide really nice picnic tables and shelter for gatherings. I'm not too fond of the beach because it is too small for what I'm use to, perhaps it's perfect for the toddler age. They have a kayak rental area that I will try this summer, so I'm already excited for that. There is also a building that they use for community events, which I think is so great that things like this are offered to the residents of Delavan as well as the public.

Beautiful lake but community park beach is not a place for swimming. Goose poop everywhere! Brought my kids here because the beach is advertised in the description. I wish someone had reviewed the swimming area so we didn't waste our time.

This is such a great park! Plenty of green space to walk around in, there's a beach area too. During events like 4th of July fireworks, there are food trucks and other fun activities. Plenty of parking too. Very well kept park.

The lake is very small and many, many years ago, a wonderful amazing place with a bounty of wildlife. Today it is over crowded. A large wooded area of several acres, that was once owned by LAKE LAWN LODGE, has been cut down. It is now the site of a large private marina and subdivision. The lake is so small, with the influx of 100's of new boats and residents, it lost it's natural beauty. With the use of pesticides to kill the weeds and insects, the lake will not last long into the future. Years ago there was an effort to clean it up, it won't take long for irreversible damage to take over the ecosystem. If you go to the beach at community park, you'll see pollution, dead fish, and excessive amount of "sea" weeds washed up on the shore, from boats tearing it up. The dead fish are mostly game fish which are too small to be kept, they die from improper handling. The park does have some playground equipment which the kids will like. The traffic in the summer is...

This park concerns itself chiefly with boat launches and picnic grounds for locals. Accessing Delavan Lake for boating, this is the best place even with the surcharge. The other local lakes just do not have the acreage this park offers for rigging and cleaning along with areas to picnic, children's outdoor equipment, shelter, promenade and beach. Living in the Township I watch local families use this park happily along with some visitors and tourist/recreational boaters/fisher-people use the boat launch and its not really good for kayaks or canoes. For such a high volume park and it is always crowded. You will not find these types of amenities anywhere else in the Walworth...

Pretty nice place to launch the boat , recover it , park and have a cook out. Our Nitro club just had an outing there 8 - 18 -18 .

To launch they charge by the foot for the boat. I have a 20 foot boat so I was charge 14 bucks almost double anywhere else I launch it.

Found out why they stock that lake and that costs money to ensure a decent day catching fish. With that said I can justify the cost.

The reason only 4 stars is the ramp. People are rude and not caring. They cut you off to get out of the water first and ignore the enter exit signs on the recovery side. Might have been the time we decided to get out because it was really busy at about 1 PM.

Over all I plan...
