Pretty sure I have rated this place before, but it can't hurt to rate a second time.

It's a neat little joint on the side of the road between Watkins Glen and Montour Falls.

Daily specials are very reasonable, as are regular menu items.

Menu is extensive, with racks of ribs, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, wraps, hot dogs, sandwiches and spiedies are all available.

I almost always get the pulled pork sandwich and it is always the same- moist, smoky, and tender. Sauce is a good mix of sweet/tangy. Very good.

Sides are typical for BBQ joints, salt potatoes, baked beans, macaroni salad, pasta salad, and cole slaw and french fries. Mac salad I thought was pretty good, the pasta salad is ok, and the fries are very good.

We had our own bottle of water with us, but I think that the cans and bottled water that they sell are extremely...

Pretty awesome BBQ place that I saw driving in, decided to give it a shot.

Food: since I wasn't from the area, I asked a local who said that their go to is Swamp Fries so we gave it a try. This was simply one of the best covered fries I have had. A solid pulled pork over some fries with a decent cheese sauce makes for a good time.

Service: unfortunately the food takes a LONG time after you order. I know I had quite a bit of people in front of me, but 45 minutes is a long time.

Aesthetic: roadside stand with a cool, rustic, barn-like feel. Definitely seems like a great spot during the...

Unbelievably bad especially considering reviews. The hot sausage tasted like someones home instead of like food. My husbands was burned on the inside. I was also entirely put off by the woman cooking food while simultaneously smoking a cigarette over it. The peppers and onions were over cooked and unseasoned and it wasnt just us the guy next to us had to borrow salt for his as well. We were starving but ended up tossing the food bc it was just bad. The guy taking our order was kind and no one was rude but yikes, def room for...

Cash only! Overall pretty good. The chicken was just as expected, very delicious. We also got the pulled pork- which was just okay. I didn’t like the bbq sauce that it came with- too sweet for my liking. The sides- salt potatoes, Mac salad, fries and beans were pretty good too. Outdoor seating available, plastic picnic tables. Service was good too!
