We went to the Hive for the first time yesterday and had an amazing experience. The people working were extremely knowledgeable about Mead which was a foreign concept for me. They made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. I had read that they were dog friendly but was planning to sit in the outside area. My wife went in alone at first and was thrilled to hear the dogs are actually welcome in the Taproom. Of course we were respectful of others and sat in an area where non dog people would not feel uncomfortable and our dogs are well behaved but this will be a nice road trip after a walk etc. They had a food vendor from Simple selling amazing food as well. I am completely hooked on Mead the tastes are very unique and although I am more of a beer guy I think I have found a new favorite drink. We are planning a return visit very soon with friends. Would highly recommend a short drive to East Troy to experience The...
Read moreI knew Ayla (one of the owners) from her Veterinary Career, she was a favorite at our barn. An extremely genuine, smart & kind person. I was sad when she left to pursue this venture with her husband⌠But WOW! They have created such a cool & unique space that is welcoming & refreshing. I finally got out there to check it out & I was amazed to say the least. My disabled son even felt comfortable & thatâs saying a lot. The mead is fantastic. With so many different flavor combinations to choose from, you are bound to find a favorite no matter what your taste preferences. Mine is definitely Queenâs Brewâd with a few others in close second. I bought a few extra cans to give as unique gifts for some wonderful friends. Amy the bartender was so patient & helpful while we decided which cans we...
Read moreWhat a neat experience! This Taproom features quirky named meads- try the coffee one! Better yet- try a flight (4 unique meads)! Most drinks are around $7 and a flight is $16 I believe. This place is kid friendly and has a beautifully decorated room designed for kids to play. It is dog friendly as well, which was fun! There are tables and couches with nice throw blankets. There's even a popcorn machine against the wall and a bookshelf with board games to play. This place has friendly and knowledgeable owners and servers. The atmosphere is cozy, warm and happy. They locally source their products too, which is important. I grew up in East Troy and I'm so happy to see new, exciting business grow. I can't wait to go back and try new drinks! I'll bring more...
