Belle-View East — Restaurant in Town of Ellicott

Let's start with food is good and portions are decent. Now the nickel and diming portion of the review. Besides the fee of 3-4% for using your credit card, they added a $0.25 per container fee for your carry out order. So if you get a meal with a salad 2 containers that's an extra $0.50 per meal. So if I'm not eating in your restaurant, you don't have to clean plates, silverware, or cups , not using your salt and pepper or paper napkins. I'm not using your restrooms, toilet paper and soap to wash my hands. Not taking up a table so you can actually have and do more business. I bet you don't charge a container fee for someone getting take out after dining in the restauraunt. Containers should be part of the cost of doing business, not charged to the customer. Where...

Went there on a Friday, early to avoid the rush....ordered a strawberry Margherrita...received it in a daqurri glass, all messy and spilling and the salt and part of the drink dripping down the sides....placed on my table like no big deal and never offered any extra napkins for the spillage or to wipe off the glass...but was told you have plenty of salt.....very unprofessional....also "French onion prime rib" was a nice fancy way to serve up the bad pieces full of fat and never even preseasoned..so let's just cover it in cheese and bread crumbs...not good....same worn out decor that smells like 1970's along with worn out staff that think slapping it down on the table is good enough.....salad was the best part.....very...

I was excited to try this restaurant after seeing the positive reviews and appetizing photos. I attempted to place an order for takeout on NYE. The woman who answered the phone immediately seemed annoyed that I was calling. She warned, "you can place an order but its going to be at least an hour wait, we're really busy". I advised her that I was fine with that, no big deal. She let out an extremely long and blatant sigh, obviously annoyed I wanted to go ahead with my order and stated again "we're really busy". I let her know that it sounded like you don't want or need my business and I'll just order elsewhere. I thought restaurants were hurting for business these days...I guess the Belle-View East isn't one of those...
