edited as of 11/4/2025, see edit at bottom of original review so they got 1 star for being a new place, they got the 2nd star for the size of the burritos. The chips and salsa on the house was warmed up chips from a bag, and the salsa was watered down. Not even chips for 2 people to actually share. (Cost extra for more). The salsa bar was exciting, until I actually saw it. Very disappointing. The food across the bar was bland, blander than bland. The red sauce on the enchiladas was "from a can" and watered down, unseasoned. The ground beef not seasoned. The chicken, not seasoned. The queso, "watered down" and you guessed it, unseasoned. To top it off, 3 fountain drinks (NO ALCOHOL), 2 burritos (ground beef) and 1 order of chicken enchiladas was $85!!!! Save your money! Go somewhere else. My wife LOVES Mexican food, she was so excited to try the new place around the corner....she told me to never bring her back. I wish I would have seen the other reviews before we went, because except the 5 star, they were accurate. Oh, and with only 3 customers in the entire place, 1 tables food had to be remade.... I get orders can be messed up from time to time, but its not like the kitchen was slammed....no reason for it in that situation. No quality, horribly overpriced, and utter disappointment. Wish I was more outspoken because I deeply regret paying for that meal.
here's the edit So, in response to the "owner's" response, I will say this. I originally gave them 2 stars, their response made me drop it to 1, which they rightfully earned upon my visit. Your response, apologizing "because it was your first week", is absurd. Your 1st week should have been your best! You were not "swamped" with customers, the lines weren't out the door, the cooks were NOT overwhelmed. When I arrived, there was a table of 2 seated with drinks, then us....thats its 2 customers!!! After we ordered a man walked in and sat alone at the bar. So the couple that was already there, was ALONE when we arrived. Why? Why? Why was their food sent back for poor quality when they were the ONLY ones there? Why was out food that bad? You defend your enchilada sauce because I compared it to the stuff you can get from a can? Im sorry that's exactly what it was like! Your chips...were from a bag in the 1st week as you are using our date of dining as your excuse? Yet they were from a bag....and you still wanted to charge for more.... so how long did "in house" last because it wasnt when we were there.... nice try. I hope you can turn it around but by your...
Read moreWas excited to try a new place, but when the chips and salsa came out and they were warmed up chips out of a bag (I’m guessing Santitas) we were already off to a bad start. It was a small basket for four people and if you want more chips than that they charge extra. That’s OK because none of the salsas were very good anyway.
The meals weren’t inexpensive but we don’t mind if there’s quality. They charged extra for cheese and extra for sour cream. So, about $20 for 3 tacos and there was so little of both that I could barely taste it. Overall I’d say below average food with nickel and dime pricing.
So, I’m sorry to say that it’s just not worth it for the price. For a place a little off the beaten path you need to either have great food or great value, this one...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but everything about the meal was disappointing. I gave it two stars because the server was nice. However, the food had absolutely no flavor not even a hint of seasoning or spice which is surprising for a Mexican restaurant. Right off the bat, the salsa tasted super bland and watered down, and the chips were clearly the cheap kind that come straight out of a bag.
I had the pork tlayudas, which were very dry and lacked pork. For the price of the entrée, I expected at least some sides rice, beans, or even a small scoop of sour cream but it came with nothing. We even had to pay extra for the sour cream.
Overall, it was one of the most flavorless meals I’ve had in a long time. Definitely not...
