Boat Cafe & Rentals — Restaurant in Town of Fallsburg

I live across the lake from where Boat Cafe & Rentals operates, and while I fully support everyone enjoying this beautiful natural resource, I am deeply concerned about the pollution caused by some of the boat renters. On multiple occasions, I’ve seen renters carelessly throwing garbage—like candy wrappers, cans, plastic bags and empty bottles—into the lake. This is not only unsightly but also harmful to the environment and wildlife.

As a resident who pays property taxes, I expect the lake to be treated with respect and maintained as a clean and safe environment for everyone. It’s disappointing to see that some renters do not share this sense of responsibility.

I strongly urge Boat Cafe & Rentals to take action by educating their customers on the importance of keeping the lake clean. Perhaps providing clear instructions, placing more garbage disposal options on the boats, or even enforcing stricter penalties for littering could help mitigate this issue.

The lake is a shared resource, and it's crucial that everyone who enjoys it does their part to preserve its beauty and health. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and implements measures to protect our lake for current and future generations.

Edit to owners reply: I would consider changing the review but your website does not work and there is no contact email on record (to report incidents) Additionally, your Instagram features boats with tables on them and pictures/videos of renters regularly eating while riding on the lake.

this review is long overdue but better late than never. if there was an option to give 100 ⭐️ they would definitely get it. was treated for my birthday last year and yesterday. the service was impeccable. the food was delicious except for the garden salad which we didnt realize had a weird ginger dressing. everything was fresh and delicious. so grateful i got my TOMATOES . at first we were told they didnt have any but they have cherry tomatoes LOL . the owner made sure i get a special fully loaded TOMATO salad on the house (even without the bonus salad i would give them the max amount of stars possible ) it was super cute that about 5-6 of the servers sang happy birthday to me when dessert was brought to our table. the owners are the sweetest humans ever. understanding kind and make sure their customers are 100% happy. this will be one of the most memorable experiences ever. we left with full tummys, full hearts, smiles, memories and renewed hope in humanity. once again i wish you the best of everything life has to offer. u and your family should be blessed with an abundance of everything including health and success with your restaurant. may you continue to bring smiles to people because you def make the world a better and...

I had really high hopes for this place but it was such a bust! We were 6 people and it wasn’t so busy when we got there. We had to literally ask for everything. Hi can we please get plates, napkins, utensils. The food came out cold. Shakshuka was so spicy you couldn’t even eat it. By the time they broad out my bread and sides the main course was cold. It was just bad. And then to top it off we took a boat ride and the motor fell off. The staff really needs better guidance from management all around.
