Chef Chu's Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Town of Farmington

I would give this place 2.5 but am going to round up to 3 since that's not possible.

In a word: Rough, man.

Ordered the Orange Beef, Hunan Chicken and the General Tso's chicken. Was surprised at the really reasonable pricing. Unfortunately the quality was commensurate with the price - this was really cheap generic Chinese takeout food.

The beef and general tso's were both so sweet that they tasted like candy; they were almost inedible. The beef in particular looked and tasted like someone dumped a half of a jar of marmalade on it. The hunan chicken was not overly sweet, thankfully; it was instead relatively bland and low quality. Buffet quality food.

I have my favorites: Sizzling Rice Soup and any of the Hibachi items are wonderful...The Phoenix nest is outstanding and when I can afford it I buy it! I have ordered it a few times and the seafood is a bit overcooked, though. I wish they used more fresh foods for their appetizers instead of frozen food service items (shrimp, crab Rangoon) On a whole the service is always prompt and the servers are more than courteous even during busy times. This is my all-time favorite Chinese food it's the best place to go it's got a great atmosphere it's got a real fountain lots of beautiful flowers the people inside are very friendly and they totally remember you when you come in they know exactly what you want so you don't have any time to waste and the food is so delicious you get exactly what you want at a fair price I'd be willing to pay totally more but the dishes there the plates they are gorgeous the place has got a great atmosphere you will never find a better place to go for Chinese food always go here if you want real Chinese food I love it as so...
