Hidden Gem! First, the aesthetics of this beautiful place will have you hitting your brakes and immediately turning in as you're traveling down Cty.. Hwy. AB in Stangleville! It's beautiful! Once inside, your jaw will drop...it's huge! Lots of barstools around the long bar, nice big TVs and lots of tables and seating! We were greeted and served immediately by a friendly and attentive staff! Beers were cold and mixed drinks were made "JUST RIGHT"! Menu is short and simple...the best bar favorites! Homemade pizza, burgers and a full chicken dinner on Sundays! The unique item on their menu was the fried dill cheese curds! A must try!! We loved them! We especially loved watching the video playing on a screen above the bar of the whole renovation process to create this beauty. A once very old building, now restored to a modern, classy restaurant and bar. Very cool! It's a masterpiece! We stopped on a Sunday at opening to enjoy lunch. We observed families, couples and singles all coming in for a delicious lunch. Bathrooms are super clean and nicely decorated. Very classy! This wonderful place will now be on our list of must stops when heading out for a scenic ride through the countryside (that's how we stumbled across it)! 5 star experience! This place is gorgeous inside and kid friendly (but could use a kid menu) so I’ll start by that. We came in after getting our tree today, the limited menu for a Sunday didn’t have much variety of options at all, although I get the concept. We had a table of 9, with two separate checks. Even though we all got our order taken together, the first check was almost done eating before the other 3 plates came out. The burgers were extremely dry and didn’t have great flavor, which was pretty disappointing since there wasn’t much choice other than that. Chicken strip basket was a generous portion and my husband liked his chicken dinner. The service was mediocre, as a server myself, I think a little more training could be done, but the girls were young. Place has potential, not sure if we’d make the trek out to try...

Driving up, this place was packed, we thought we’d atleast pop in to see what the wait would be. We found 2spots at the spacious bar, greeted by the friendliest bartender and had a great whiskey sour Old Fashioned in our hands in minutes. Apps of dill pickle cheese curds, and jalapeño poppers( poppers not deep fried, what a treat!) both were great !! Followed by the stuffed shrimp, most importantly for me, was that they make their own potato salad, there is nothing worse than when a restaurant serves store bought. Great marble rye too! Can’t wait to come back for the Perch! Great atmosphere, service, food and a friendly...
