We've ordered food from Jack'ss before and we really loved their wings. I'm generally pretty easy going but we've had two really bad experiences the last two times we've ordered online through Grubhub.
You can brush one bad experience off, we saw how busy were that night but they happened to acknowledge our order and gave an estimated time to complete. We show up at the time they estimated it would be finished. It wasn't ready but they told us it would be out. We sat there for at least 45 minutes before we stood back up to see how things were going. The woman at the counter acknowledged the mistake and started the order at that point. To their credit they tried to refund us, but we don't mind human error, especially if you own up to it. People are quick to throw a fit over simple human error, I try not to be one of those types of customers.
Tonight, we placed another order, this time for delivery. They received our order, and it was acknowledged through Grubhub. Another 20 minutes later they updated the order online to let us know that the order was finished and should arrive in 30 minutes. An hour from the estimated time of arrival we decided to call to see what was going on. This time they didn't own up to it. They told us that "they just started it." That's restaurant code for "we forgot your order and haven't started it yet." Fine. Order is on the way. Another 30 minutes later the order arrives. Wrong. Not only was our order ignored but it was wrong. We called up and asked for the manager. We were told we would be refunded, which they did do for us. They may have lost our business but they're honest business people. I still love their wings which...
Read moreI’ve been a very regular customer for awhile now, and had nothing bad to say about Jack’ss. Even though every single order online seemed to be overlooked and I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for it to be done, I didn’t mind because the people were nice and the food was good. However, this last order made me never want to go back. My order was incorrect, and the toppings on my calzone were undercooked and crunchy, and it had no cheese inside. No cheese inside of a calzone!! My friend’s order was so overcooked and dry that she was having trouble chewing the food, and threw it out. My calzone was also inedible, and I ditched it. They forgot our soda and the extra BBQ sauce we ordered, and didn’t come back with it until over an hour later. The garbage plate my boyfriend had was just fine, and when I messaged GrubHub to get a refund, they told me it would be covered. Upon contacting Jack’ss, they refused to refund anything more than $9.29 for “wrong toppings”. I contacted them and said that I’d be more than happy to pay for the garbage plate which was good, but that I didn’t think it was fair to have to pay for food we couldn’t even eat. No one has contacted me back regarding the issue, and I don’t want to be the kind of person who makes a huge deal out of such situations, but I do want to let people know that the place has gone downhill. Read moreI ordered food here twice and both times were horrid. First time I ordered country sweet wings and boss sauce wings. I get plain chicken fingers delivered to me. I'm like, people make mistakes so I called and they told me I could come get my order after work, right this time. I get there and this time I get my wings, but no country sweet sauce on half. I get half plain and half boss sauce. The last time I ordered, delivery again, I get a call an hr and a half after placing, the delivery guy calls me to tell me I owe him for the food. Mind you no one ever even called me to tell me my food was here. He tells me he gave it to someone that said they knew me and that they paid half, but he's on the phone asking me for the full amount. Doesn't make any sense now does it? One of the people that ACTUALLY knows me at work told me he saw these two guys coming in to another department with food. So I asked them and they knew nothing of what I was talking about. Mind you this was the first time I've EVER talked to them before so how would they know me and why in the world would you give food to a person that didn't even place the order and call them later in the day and say they owe you money.
