I am not sure what happened to this place. We went on a warm Wednesday night, not too busy. No air conditioning so the door was open (no screen) with a fan blasting in the other room. We were told from afar we could sit at any table that had silverware wrapped in a napkin on it. The one we chose was not completely clean so I used a wet wipe to clean it. There was a dirty paper napkin on the floor under an adjacent table along with other large debris in various other places on the floor. A french fry lay on the floor right in front of the dessert case, no one attempted to pick or sweep anything up during our entire stay. We were batting flys out of our plates constantly. The olive dip appetizer was amazing. Everything else just mediocre. Chicken coconut walnut salad was fresh just kind of odd combination with lemon dressing? My husbands Monte Christo sandwich was like French toast with a little ham and cheese. Our son had the cedar plank salmon which was underwhelming. The three young ladies working were clueless as to the flies and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I would think that any restaurant that managed to survive through Covid would have increased their cleaning practices. I have had great meals and service here in the past, it pains me...

This used to be the restaurant we raved about. The food was always exceptional and we never had a service complaint.

Since covid that has drastically changed. Everytime we order take out (a almost weekly occurrence since July) things get worse. The food declines with each order, the kids that are running this place are just that; kids. You have to make them take your name on the phone for a pick up order, they forget to ask you about sides(so if your not as familiar with the menu they will ask you upon arrival if there is a choice) they will tell you 20 mins no matter the size of the order or the number of orders they have. (They should have told me an hour for our two entrées but in stead I stood around for that long. The worse is that they act annoyed that there is a customer.... each additional person that came in for a pickup they got more annoyed...even though they tell the customer the time to arrive.

It sucks that this place has declined so much. Its been a hidden gem for so many years. Finger crossed they can bring it...

The walls are all painted vibrant colors and local artists have their work adorning the place. It’s quite welcoming. We went for a Friday night fish fry and both ordered from the fish fry menu. The place was about 2/3 full when we arrived. I had the pan fried perch which was excellent. The problem was the service was even slower than the other reviews led me to believe. I had not realized it would be glacial. They brought our salad with the entrees, all of which came 45 mins after we arrived, and half my sides were missing. Once we finished eating, we had to flag down a busser to get our server who was never around, to bring the bill. We skipped dessert because we’d been there for two hours and just wanted to leave.

Such a shame. The quality of the food would make me want to return but I’ve rarely had service that slow without any acknowledgement of it being unusual. I would not recommend this place, given that the other reviews concur that the...

I had the pot roast taco . Pot roast was tender but not much flavor on its own. But, with the very flavorful corn tortillas and the tangy verde sauce (which was on the side) was pretty good. Service was quick and friendly. Quiet cute little place. Would suggest replacing water stained ceiling tiles in the dining area for aesthetic reasons but other than that not a bad experience. Pot roast tacos were the special; two tacos and a side for $11. Other person with me had a grilled cheese with something on it for $9 with the side. With two sodas the total came to $27 and change. A little pricey for a lunch. But what you would expect from a little bistro type restaurant. Overall thumbs up.

I am so glad I stumbled upon this wonderful hidden gem today! Did not think I could find anything being vegan but I was pleasantly surprised… This is hands-down the best vegan fajita salad I have ever tasted in my life! It is jampacked of goodness and flavor :-) my friend also thoroughly enjoyed his steak wrap…Said it tasted authentic and also packed with flavor. I would definitely take the hour and a half drive again and again to experience this type of wonderful service and deliciousness. It deserves more than five stars :-)

My mom & I stopped here for dinner and we were not disappointed to say the least. Had a delicious roast turkey dinner (with generous portions), followed by a slice of some of the best pumpkin pie I've ever had. The restaurant was small, but cozy. My mom & I had a nice table by the window. The staff was friendly and all the patrons were enjoying themselves here. It was just a nice meal & dining experience... time well spent with my mom. We will come back to try other items on the menu!
