Absolutely Disappointed â Long-Time Customers Let Down
As someone who has worked in the service industry for years as both a waitress and bartender, I never leave negative reviews lightly. My family and I have supported Eastside Bar and Grill since the day they opened. Weâve overlooked inconsistent service and food quality in the past because we genuinely wanted to see a local business succeed.
Unfortunately, our visit on July 5, 2025, was the final strawâand a glaring example of how little they now care about their patrons.
Hereâs what we experienced:
My husband was brought the wrong beer. Not a huge dealâbut still a basic error.
The $16 calamari came with only 4 tiny pieces, buried in a pile of lettuce and olives. It was essentially a dressed-up salad.
My husband's Reuben sandwich had virtually no meat and was supposed to come with house chips. Instead, he got a small bag of Lays.
I ordered fish, which came with 9 bonesâone of which hooked in my throat.
My daughterâs $17 mussels came with a hard, butt-end piece of stale bread she literally couldnât bite into.
When we politely addressed these issues, the waitress had an attitude. We asked to speak to the manager, who told us: âWeâll comp some of your shit, but if you donât like our service, go somewhere else.â Four other tables overheard and got up and left. We all met in the parking lot and they couldn't believe how we were treated and wouldn't stand for it either as they said their service was awful and another table said they were sitting to be addressed for over 30min.
Iâve since heard rumors that the place is shutting down and being sold. It shows. All I can say is: Good riddance. Itâs a shame it came to this, but customers deserve better and you should be ashamed.
He took $20 off...
Read moreIm not sure where to start...I dont review much but i feel like i can save somone some gas money. 3 strikes and im out. This was our 4th time here. Its terrible when we get a rude vibe as soon as we walk in. Host was rude, plain and simple. I ordered a beer...you shouldnt be able to see through a Juice Bomb. If you're not familiar, Juice Bomb is a hazy, juicy i think New england style IPA. When i questioned it,the very nice waitress brought me a new one....same. When a beer đș gets old it has a vinegar taste. This was old. The atmosphere was terrific. The fella playing music was awesome. Nice decor, very clean. We wanted to sit at a high top,we were told we couldnt if we were eating. Why?We were 2 of approximately 20 people in the place. To the foodđThey have specials,I think thats amazing and kind of a thing of the past. I was all in on the shrimp tacos,my mind was made up on the ride there. Woof!It was the poorest excuse of a shrimp taco ive ever had. 3 basic ingredients in a shrimp taco and 1 was missing. The clam strips were burried under soggy basically inedible fries. 13.99 for that mess. Oh also they should really look up how to make a margaritas. Wow is an understatement. So we walk out at 65 bucks. We had a terrible host, gross beer, super weird and uneducated margarita, sub par food. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else,it seems like this place isnt even trying. 3 strikes. Its the only place weve ever eaten thats received that. Never again, thats sad. Location is awesome, atmosphere is as good, then it goes to hell...
Read moreNot sure where to start. I have been coming to Canandaigua for a long time. Being here with some of my friends and family, we decided to try this place. I would like to preface this by saying our server was great, I donât remember her name but she was friendly, and did everything right.
My friend ordered a steak medium-rare. It was a cheap piece of meat to begin with, but thatâs beside the point. The steak came out medium well with a slight hint of pink in the middle. The majority of the steak was well done. A medium rare steak is warm in the center and has a red or deep, juicy red color. As a point of emphasis, my brother and his wife are from Oklahoma and eat premium steak regularly. My friend decided to send the steak back to remedy what he actually ordered. Another person comes out, maybe another server, and starts telling him and the table the steak is medium rare, and that he needs to âpick one.â She berated him in front of three other tables - completely unprofessional. She also attempted to blame the issue on our server for a miscommunication. There were seven of us there and three tables around us. There was no miscommunication.
Iâm not sure who this person is but at the very minimum needs training on how to interact with customers. I can confirm that we will never return to this...
