I have no complaints about the food . Today was the fourth time going to the Common Grounds Coffehouse & bakery , but I have to say my wife and I were very disappointed in the service . The fact is we went in for lunch and was immediately waited on, which was great . However (5) FIVE people came in after us , and ordered their food and were out the door finished eating while we sat there for (32) Thirty Two MINUTES" waiting for a sandwich , a salad and two drinks . The owner knew she was wrong and said "SORRY FOR THE WAIT" , but you guys look like you have "PATIENCE" . So the moral of the story is . This is a "GREAT" place as long as you're a local or friend of the owner , if she thinks you're from out of town , be ready to wait . The sad thing is we liked the place , she is a very bad business woman , never offered anything to make it right . Oh and I still left a five dollar tip on the table , even though the tip for her is to treat everyone equal and the same . Greg "MY RESPONSE" I truly understand about the workers on a 30 min. lunch break. Ya know If you would have said that to us we would have said , please do take care of them first .However I'm not so sure you would have apologized if I didn't write this review , and of course It would have been more sincere in person before we left . Jill we are not surprised you're so busy , after all your food is "GREAT" ! I guess if I'm in Greene , and really hungry craving your delicious food , I'll just have to change the normal 12:00 to 1300 hrs. lunch to a later time . But something tells me there might be anything...
Read moreI passed by this place and decided to come around to check them out. Sure, I could always use another coffee! So needless to say, if you happen upon this place, it’s absolutely adorable. I popped in and checked out the coffee options. They also offer a variety of flavored syrups that can be added if you choose. I decided to get an iced coffee with a little mocha in it. It was absolutely fantastic, I really enjoyed it. If you’re from the city and are familiar with Sweetleaf, it reminded me of some of their iced coffees-very tasty. Additionally, we scooped up a couple cookies (I devoured my peanut butter cookie!) and a couple muffins. Everything was delicious. Some photos that others posted of wraps look great and I’ll have to come back to try those sometime as well, surely I’ll need to grab more coffee too. They take card and cash and are located right between the Tractor Supply and the Bowlodrome...
Read moreDisappointed this “bakery” had everything pre-wrapped in plastic. As for quality, I give them barely 2 stars - maybe I got them on an off day. In my to go order, the cranberry muffin was good but that’s it – my coffee was weak (watery is better description-I dumped it, though I try hard to limit food, waste), jam filled cookie tasted very stale. I did appreciate the local atmosphere vibe when I went in to order though, so upped my overall rating. For morning, coffee and pastries. There are a lot better...
